Okay, another problem. I make videogames, a few are in progress. Everytime I try to test it I get this scary but stupid message, "Failed to allocate back-buffer. Your graphics card might not have enough memory. Try to reduce the screen resolution or color depth and run again." Failed experiments: -Changing the resolution on my screen down to 800, colors to 16bit Medium (low as it will go) -Downloading the newest version of DirectX and installing it Can anyone help me out with this? I cannot play games then testing my home-brews will be a tedious pain in the ass. |

You're developing the game? Surely you can code it to give you more information then. It's probably a problem with your code to begin with; that's always the first place I look when my programs misbehave, especially when they're incomplete. What are your specs, anyway? Particularly RAM and video? Tried rebooting? BTW, an easy way to get most of your system specs: Go to Start -> Run, type 'msinfo32', press Enter. On any page, you can go to Edit -> Select All, then Edit -> Copy, and paste the page into your post. (However, I'd be wary of its information... it says I have 45/512MB of RAM right now, when it's actually 67/256. ) |
