enough interest to hold a short story competition? Since there is about a thousand members, I figured there'd at least be a couple of people that would be interested.

If not, then there'll be some cool stories just hanging around modern art.

Ohhhh...I'd take up that offer...and I'm pretty sure there are handfuls of people in the SF/SB that would too. I'm kinda retired from those forums but that doesn't mean I don't write on occasion.

Did you have anything in mind? Such as limits to what to write and how long it can be/has to be/yada?

Short story competitons are always fun to enter.
I like ones that don't have a topic. It lets the writer be more creative.
Thats just my two cents.

Holy cow!!

A writing competition!? Dude, I'd LOVE to take part in this...

...however, I have many other projects under construction that need attending to, and one of them includes the Super Mario Battle Arena (in the Mario Forum), which is another form of writing...

Damn! I need to know the deadline. My kingdom for the deadline!! I'll give this one some hardcore thought, because I can't see myself NOT entering, but if I do enter I need time and energy, as do all legends of writers...

Toxic! You're one of my new heroes! For starting this idea, you have proven thyself a true w00test. Rock on.

Maybe I´m good at RPing but I suck at making short stories so I don´t think I´ll take part in this.

I´ll try to read some of them, though.

Uh there isn't a deadline yet, and no I wasn't really planning on putting any type of limits on it besides a max of say 10 pages?

10 pages is good. Any more would be a lot of work for the judge(s).

Speaking of judges...who's doing that job? [aka: who do I bribe?]

Wow... Spiffy. This is absolutely kickaxe.

I really need to get some free time sometime in the future hopefully so that I can write something for this. Ten pages is fine, though generally I either write three pages or fifty. And as much as I desire Schwa's kingdom, I think it's best if the deadline is set by the people who intend to judge this, which really isn't me, because I am so incredibly entering this.

So, uhm. Does it matter what kind of content is put in it? I mean, the so-called maturity level. Because I've got some ideas that have been bouncing around my head for a while, and I don't want to submit something that'll get tossed out.

Uhm, yeah. You should start taking a list of who's joining in. Which of course includes me.

Jeez, Imight do it just for the heck of it, but I most certainly won't win anything. If the spot is open, could I judge?

Sure you could judge, we could use just one more judge, and then each one will give a story a rating, 1-10, then we add up and divide by two to get the final.
