I'm attempting to edit the tile mappings used for the title screen within Pokemon Red. Is there any previous documentation on this, or am I delving into something other people either don't know or haven't shared/written down? Also, anyone know anything about the Super Game Boy palettes used in Red? Such as their format/locations? Thanks in advance. EDIT: Oh, by the way, this is the old GameBoy Pokemon Red, not FireRed. or you could give him some real suggestions >_. the pallets, I do not know the format, but do know that they are stored DIRECTLY after the grpahics for the super gameboy border. in fact, if you go into tlp or similar tile editor, and replace the first few "garbage" blocks after the very last border tile with the ones from say, the green version, you'll copy over not only its pallet but the format the sgb border arranges its tiles in too | |||

heh, thanks for all the help with the SGB palettes.. but 5 minutes after I posted this I worked it out myself. I still need help with the "Red Version" text mappings (not the art itself) though.. (edited by Hapi-San on 10-30-05 05:05 PM) |
