Dogs are too noisy and a bit dirty compared to a cat. A cat can sleep on your bed and make it warm, with a big dog you can't. It makes all the difference |

Gotta have cats. They're small and pretty much take care of themselves, and can sleep on your bed right next to your head. Try doing that with a dog.  Plus, cats are quiet and kill mice, whereas dogs are just loud.(edited by Santa Claus on 10-26-05 09:51 AM) |

My dog hurts our fence and chases squirrels  .I had one evil cat who jumped over our fence and chased the neighbors kids XD but we couldn't be sued for that because a cat can't bite like a dog  .YD's cat kind of looks like my new kitty!!  Well she's a year old now and we've almost had her for a year. It's weird because sometimes she can be mean and sometimes she can be really sweet. I guess it depends on if she wants us to give her food or not . When she wants food I wait for a little bit so she comes to me and makes me feel special. |

| YD's cat doesn't have a tail.... I'm a cat person the whole way. I love cats. I have four, actually. My father owns two, and my mother owns another two. I like the cats my mom owns more, but there's a certain charm to my father's. For example, he has this one cat that really can't be described as anything more than a large sack of meat. The cat is fat, but he's such a big sweetie, he loves humans and he'll socialize with anyone. And he sleeps on my dad's stomach when he falls asleep on the couch, which is also funny to watch. They're a lot alike. |

| As much as I like cats, I can't have'em for the simple reason that I'm allergic to them. I almost died of an asthma attack when I was 15 and at that time we had a cat. But I have a rottweiler named Cyprus, I love her so much. Best dog that my family ever owned. |

Well, my cat does look like YD's but has a tail for some reason my cats have really long tails  and my friends cat has a little one. My other friend's cat has this weird tail. When you pet her it goes backwards instead of straight up it goes straight up too but it's double jointed or something.The younger kitty of mine is mean sometimes and getting chunky so she doesn't need to eat right away . |

| I've got to say, I'm definately a dog person. I can't stand my cat. It always wants to rub against you and it meows all the time and when you do pet it, all of a sudden, after a minute or so, it tries to bite or claw you. Cats are lazy also. Dogs on the other hand you can mess with them, like wrestle with them not worrying about them getting hurt because they are bigger and stronger. I like watching my dog run and chase his tail or chew up one of his toys. Plus, I think dogs are more able to protect you from anyone if you need it. They bark when somethings not right and they always love to see you. My vote definately goes to dogs. |

Every time we get a cat or a dog my parents end up getting rid of them within a month  Though I've had a lot better luck with cats, we did have two cats that were awesome and adorable for about a month, but one of them died and we ended up giving the other away. That was really depressing |
