I went to msn movies to check movie reviews. I typed in Doom review. It got a half a star. One of the worst action movies this year. It said that (The Rock) Dwaine Johnson, failed to be a action hero, and failed every turn. I swear that man can't even do a decent movie.

The Rock's not a good action star? He's very good in The Scorpion King, and he's good as Sarge in DOOM. The movie, by the way, is hated too much by critics. It's a fairly good action movie, reminds me a bit of Aliens, though obviously not as good. But it was worth a watch and had some entertaining parts.

I don't even think I"ll rent it.
Video game based movies seem to always suck.
Actually, Tomb Raider was good, but only because of Angelina Jolie's emphasized features.

Most of the critics have a bias when going into see a videogame movie. MSN movies? Like that's a credible source!

It wasn't that bad of a movie, I thought it was pretty darned decent. If you base your movie viewing on reviews and critics, you will miss out on alot of good movies.

In the movie Doom, The Rock wasn't meant to be the movie's 'action hero' (was the reviewer even watching the movie?), though I won't spoil it for you.

if you played doom 3, it ruins the movie for you because of several names of the charaters, like sarge, and pinky.

Heh heh, now that I have a fast enough PC to run the game, the game will be spoiled because I watched the movie.

I haven´t played the game but my PC is more than powerful enough to run it, though.

I probably won´t go to the cinema to see it.

My doom 3 ran like a slideshow if I shot a gun on PC, so I got it on Xbox instead.

The movie wasn't horrible, in fact, it's probably one of the better movies that are made from video games. I wouldn't recommend watching it in theatres unless you're a fan, however.

The Rock played his role extremely well. The actors weren't bad. The only problem was the plot(Which is nearly exactly like the video game with a few changes to make the movie work), but even when playing the video game, it's not supposed to have a great story, just fun and pretty gameplay.
