I'm more annoyed with these little tiny bugs I see everywhere, maybe half the size of a housefly. There's tons of them for some reason.

The same with me as with HH. I´m more annoyed by the small bugs too.

I either squish big bugs with some paper or take them outside.

I call them mayflies. I am creeped out by them for the sole reason that they look a bit like huge mosquitos. I don't like mosquitos either, since they actually bite me, leave marks there for days. As for the mayflies, though, if my cat can manage to catch one, she'll eat it.

Yeah, craneflies can be pretty annoying. They don't actually do any harm though so I'll just grab their legs and throw 'em out of the window. If they come back again... smash. Preferably with something heavy.

Well, that cats hunt insects isn´t weird. Our dog hunts houseflies. It looks pretty funny.

Funny... I've always called them mosquitto eaters (or at least my parents have). That's all they are, really. If those ugly bastards can keep the mosquitto population down by a bit, I have absolutely no problem with them fluttering all over the place.

Edit: oh crap... After doing a bit of research I've found that they don't even EAT as adults. You don't know how many times I've let those suckers go on the premise "Heh... this bastard will take out some more of those mosquittos. power to him!".

Ones 'round here are a bit smaller than that, but yeah. Those things scare the crap out of me when they randomly fly in front of the screen late at night right in front of my face.

I´ve had insects in front of my screen too. They annoy me more than scaring me.

Usually I don´t care about them.

A few weeks ago, my dorm was under attack by a being we can only ascertain was the viking god of all moths. At night he'd be attracted to the warm, sterile glow of our computer screens, so at about 3:AM I'd be subjected to something that looked a little like this:

Except with more flapping. Right in my face.

It was a poor choice of words. It's not so much that it scares me, so much at it's very surprising and it's right next to my face, so it rather startles me.

I got scared of a June bug once because it was different from the other bugs I've seen. Craneflies? Are those like nats or something?

They are harmless. I've never been afraid of them (although they used to freak my sister out). Unless a bug startles me by suddenly being right in my face, that is.

I can see a face and most of a torso on that moth's back, by the way. It's kindof creepy. It looks like its a man with his eyes shadowed, face upturned, and being immolated.

Craneflies are the ones that are always flying around on the walls and ceiling of houses when they get in, right? I'm guessing so...

I don't think there are craneflies around here, but plenty of gnats. They drive me crazy.
