I just want to really make sure so that I understand ... that basically means someone rated me because they liked me ? .
Kind of like those dating sites or places where you post pictures of yourself and people rate you of how good or bad you look ....something like that ?

What does the 130/130 mean ? :-\

User rating is nothing more then an rating (duh). It means nothing.

Look at mine. "1.1 (712/6460, 14 votes)"

User rating isn't anything that you will get banned for. That's why I don't care about it.

Yeah, you shouldn't worry it, especially if it's low like I head when I first got here. Oh yeah, if you want to know what 130/130 means, it means that a Level 13 person voted for you. All you have to do is take away the 0 to see the level of the guy who voted for you. Once a lot of people start to vote for you though, it'll be hard to tell the levels of the guys who rated you. Only admins can view votes and votes you made.

User ratings are just a sign of how popular you are with some members. Realize a lot of people don't give ratings, regardless of how they feel about the user.

okay, ratings don't mean anything, we get the point

I like them, they're fun. but people should have the option of displaying their own user rating or not, because as Chris said, it can make some feel bad.

The rating is based on the person/people who rate you. The person who rated you gave you a 10, so that gave you 130 points out of a possible maximum of 130 points. If they had rated you anything less than a 10, then your rating would have been xxx/130. The xxx depends on what they rated you.

The maximum points that you can get from a 10 rating vary from user to user. The number is based on length of time registered and activity. Someone who just registered 24 hours ago will have a lower maximum points than someone who registered 8 months ago.

I'm not going all crazy about it or anything, it was just something that put question marks in my head.

..I already understood the the amount of "votes" part. Just that odd 3 digit number was the thing i didn't get. Oh well
