I've been having some difficulty locating any good material for teaching regular expressions to a first timer. I'll be using them through PHP, if that helps at all. Any direction is appreciated, thanks.

Hey man, thanks. I'll look those over and let you guys know if I have any questions.

Edit: For the record, that website met all my needs. I'm now at least decently schooled in the use of regular expressions. It will take me a while of couse before I become proficient, but now I'm on on the right road. Thanks again.

If you ever use Python, Python's actual site has tutorials on how to use them that are pretty decent. I think all you need to use them in those scripts

http://www.python.org/doc/1.5.2p2/lib/module-regex.html

Just another reference if you end up needing one. Watch out though, regex (shorthand for regular expressions) tend to have different standards depending on who developed them. I think Microsoft has some unusual ones in its Microsoft office regex scheme.
