Now this IS weird, and I'm not even sure anyopne else out there is a fan of the 2005 iteration of Dr Who, but it's the longest running sci-fi series ever and this is the first spin off announced for it. It'll be caled "Torchwood" and will be based in the best country in the world (ok so I'm biased, sue me!)...

Any Doctor Who fans out there?

My dad is creaming himself as we speak.

He's probably the biggest Dr. Who fan...ever.

For proper English's sake, it should be Dr. Whom.
But I've watched at 3 am on PBS, without comprehending it at all.

I think the Daleks kicked arse in the last series, even though they flew AND were Emo, besides, surely the carnage afterwards made up for it.

I've always believed that Daleks never needed to fly, they just level the building Instead of "upgrade" the Daleks to make them even more powerful and menacing, I believe a solution could have been written that uses their traditional disability, rather than overcomes it. Back in the day, moving upwards through a building would only provide a temporary escape. The tension is built by the anticipation of how long it will take the machines to figure out how to get at you again.

However, I loved all the references to the Doctor's past concerning the Daleks. All the bits that tackled his hate towards them were done really well, and acted brilliantly
