Nope.

BAD videogames make me feel violent, like throwing the Cd/UMD/Whatever like a frisbee accross the room.

You know what makes me violent? Mario Paint. God knows how many times that thing has influenced me to go out and club someone to death with a fly swatter, then deliver the final blow by stabbing them with a crayon. I've been in rehab for this many times but I always end up killing them with the eraser tool and covering their remains with stamps of enemies from Super Mario World. If videogames didn't encourage violence I MIGHT NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM. I'd tell you more but I'm already late for my therapy counceling with Dr. Mario.

edit: and for the sarcasticly impared, no, no I don't

PS: Dr. Mario is serious buisness ~Eri

No. Never.

After smashing up cars with my huge green fist, knocking opponents into walls to gain victory, throwing a plasma grenade at some alien, and stopping a huge army from infiltrating my base with a super power, I do not do violent activities in real life. I already killed millions of innocent lives in video games. Why kill some in real life?

Poor people. Destroyed in an instant, then respawned later on to be killed once again... poor, poor souls that don't exist...

This is the stupidest question I've ever heard. I don't even need to say my answer... But... Simply put, videogames don't cause violence, and I'll kill anyone who says differently.

Video games do not cause violence.

But, however, video games do cause aggression. It's how u deal with it that's a focus for all. I did my own paper on it, but it's really long..lol

Videogames do piss me off at times, but never enough to punch anything. Really.

And most of the time, it's more stress reliving than the cause. Going on a massacre is fun...

Depends on the game, really. If it's Superman 64, or Drake of the 99 Dragons, I really feel like raining down flaming death upon those who manufactured the game. Wierd.

No. Why?

I laugh at the unrealistic.

I also enjoy my moments of zen when I game. They don't come too often anymore. I feel these are moments when I have achieved a total release of aggression and stress. They're fun!

Actualy, this did happen. . . after I played Deadly Towers, I wanted to break the game with a hammer until it was dead forever. Something inside is telling me I did, because I don't have it anymore

But to be perfectly serious, I have played many kinds of games, and violent ones too. None of them have ever made me want to go out and shoot someone. It is a video game, it is a way of someone expressing their creativity--I see video game designers as artists. Really, videogames to me are all works of art. Each unique and special in their own way. Just like there can be acts of violence depicted in paintings, we don't lash out against THAT art form and accuse it of influencing people to murder. So why videogames? Why is this the only art which is taking the blame?

They don´t take the blame themselves. It gets FORCED at them. That´s why I hate all people that whines about that videogames are dangerous for kids and all that jazz.

Who's the sick dick that voted yes?

I don't get violent after video games. But I might whap the controller on the ground to knock some sense into it. Of course, it's not that easy when you have a computer.

Of course, I had my Super Nintendo a loooong time ago (7 years now?) I was 10. And boooooy, did I get mad at Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure (that games sucks btw) I was right at the end and I died. I ending up breaking my controller after, so I couldn't get another system. Dammit.

I don't spaz out and pistol-whip a pedestrian, but yes. I keep these feelings locked away though, I usually end up converting that energy to something productive. It's a satisfying aftertaste I get when seeing blood spilt all over. Don't misjudge my character though, I've had a violent life and grew out of adolescence since the first time you all knew me. Though I am a bit violent-natured, I don't consider myself a bad person, then again I get that feeling of hate from 99.99999% of people from this board because I don't enjoy thoughts of flowers and rainbows 24/7... To me, that's crapola on a stick.

I find it annoying how people think that, "Oh you like violence, you're a 100%, grade-A, sick son-of-a-bitch who will become a serial killer later in life! I know you so well!". Honestly, do you shun violence because the media told you to? I don't...
