Update 3:

Update 2:

Update 1:

Original Shots:

Yes, that's right, full overworlds!
There are 2 new worlds in SMBDX, W9 and W0.
SMBTLL is in a seperate hack.

I'll show screens of W0 and TLL soon.

How do they look?

(PS, just for the record, I technically didn't go against the poll, "either one" and choice 2 together outweighed choice 1, and choice 2 was my favourite anyway. )

Hey we all know that choice one was better!!! (Well most of us anyway).
What a waste of a poll. Oh well.
Excellent screens though. I am definatly looking forward to this hack

I'm not sure I like those grainy montains in the background... Depends on where they are used and stuff in the game... But maybe "smoothing them up" a bit would be good.

World ZERO, that's pretty good!

I'd like to play "-1" stage.

zeck: I've only ever heard about the "-1" stage. If I knew how to access it, or if I had a map of it or somethin', i'd remake it and hide it somewhere appropriate, like in w1-2.

sk26: err, sorry.

Stifu: Are you talking about those flat SMB2 hills, or the tall YI ones?

sylvain: thanks, i think.

@everybody, thanks for the comments. as i said, more screens tomorrow.

Tall ones... The other ones aren't grainy.

Okay, well I didn't know what grainy was.

I just played SMB (E) and managed to get to W -1, but it was the exact same as W7-2.
EDIT: maybe it's different on SMB (U).

"Grainy" kinda means the coloring looks pixelated... As if you didn't apply the original color palette on those mountains, that colors are missing, or something... It's not always bad if done right, but the style seems to clash a bit in your game.

I would edit one of your screens to make it look less grainy to show you what I mean, but I don't have the time for that now...

The Minus world is actually pretty retarded. It's just a few existing levels already in the game turned into water levels and it has no end.

Excellent Screens, Peter! Can't wait to play this one!

Just one thing:

The water looks a little out of place

>> W -1, but it was the exact same as W7-2.

Certain version of SMB, especially, Disk System, has W -1, -2 and -3.
-1 looks like W7-2 in the water.
-2 looks like W2-3.
-3 looks like W4-4 in the undergound (blue blocks) and no bowser.

Maybe, Japanese version only.

That was what I was thinking. You really should stray away of using graphics from Yoshi Island because the art styles clash so much. But what you should do is stick with tall hills that are like this, but the art style matches the rest of the game's.

Damn awesome screenshots...

I have an idea for the OW, though... Maybe make the level tiles change color when you complete them? It'd be a nice touch...

Looks like you used the level names too, at the top of each level. Awesome work

@skateboarder11: great idea, I think I could make them turn gold like it is once you finish SMA4.

And err, i think I'll get rid of the YI backgrounds.
