I've seen some horrible sigs in my life, but I think this takes the cake. Is it supposed to not make any sense at all and sound like a baby is crying throughout it?

"del /F /S /Q /" eh?

(for thoose who dosen't know, "del /F /S /Q /" try to delete every file it can on the HD. Every friccking file. A running joke in the linux community is "rm -rf /", which does the same thing in Linux but I have no idea why people don't know about the windows equliance as much)

With Windows, most people use "format c: /y" (even though /y doesn't really do anything) or "deltree C:\WINDOWS /q", despite that neither of these actually work within Windows.

Uh, it's a transcript of a call over IP Relay, which is a text to voice communications medium meant for people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or speech disabled. The text user goes on a website and accesses a relay operator (ro). The ro then dials the number given by the text user and voices what the text user types and types what the voice user says. It's a way for people in the deaf community to communicate with voice users over the phone.

The "ga" you saw so much through the post is the abbreviation for "go ahead," which is used to indicate when one party is done speaking/typing and is ready for the other party to respond. So for example:

Party 1: hi how was ur day qq ga [qq means question mark]

Party 2: fine u qq ga

Party 3: i m fine too thk u

Unfortunately, scammers and pranksters love making use of IP Relay too. Pranksters love using it just to make the ro say dirty words (and often in those cases the text and voice users are one and the same or they're in the same room). Scammers love using it for credit card fraud. They are often using the service from Ghana and Nigeria and they call places in the U.S., trying to get them to ship large quantities of good and they try to use stolen credit numbers to complete the process.

Often, scammers and pranksters do not know much about relay etiquette and they often use multiple go aheads (the ga I mentioned above) and they often use the go aheads as punctuation, completely violating the principle that the go ahead is meant to be used when you are finished typing and are ready for the other person to respond. Often times, they will combine both so you will see things like:

hi gagagaga how are u q gagagaga i am the reverend gabriel of the mother less church of nigeria gagagagagaga do u sell 50 chainsaws q gagagagagagaga

The above is crap that ro's often have to deal with and taxpayers have to pay for.

What is in my signature is the transcript of an actual relay call by a scammer who called up Pet Smart. He made a stupid mistake by selecting the grooming service and his attempts to think on his feet were humorous.

Now understanding the context, perhaps my signature will make more sense?

----------------

What the person convinced me to do was spend less time doing idle things and more time working toward my goals, so I deleted a lot of my old files to sever my attachments with them.

I more or less used the old fashioned select the folder in Explorer and hit the del key.
