Well... currently resting within the complex additions of my mind, is the third and final chapter of Super Mario Universe.

"My mind is an enigma." *Thought bubble appears, and a carton of milk suddenly spills the contents over a flower cloth covered table.*

That last Patrick part was a joke, but really though... it's in my mind and I'm thinking about it. This could be treated as an announcement if the mods think that way. For Chapter Three, will be a complete overhaul, plus with some help from the most talented hackers on the SMW board and ASM experts. For now, just give me your thoughts of this, and if flamed, they'll be used against you.

Here's what the intro story is gonna be...

The man who calls himself L.A. (name shorted to prevent spoilers on the boss) was beaten at his own game onboard his warship in the Shadow Realm. Princess Toadstool was rescued, and the Tropics and now Dinosaur Land a month later were in a peaceful state after the final battle, with Bowser taking control of his "evil" destiny like in the past. But little do they know, L.A. was still alive, and he still existed, only his body was destroyed.

Now we follow after Luigi, who was on a quest away from Dinosaur Land. Stumbling apon a village that was terrorized, Luigi came to their rescue. It was Kamek the Magikoopa who caused the trouble and stole something that belonged to the villagers. After a small quick fight, Luigi returned the object, and went on his merry way.

But, unbeknownst to anyone on both sides of good or evil, a dark war shall begin, starting with the Gates of Chaos...

The fate of the existing universe lie in Luigi's hands... can he save the world? And what does Princess Toadstool have to do with all this?

Well... not perfect, but it's a start folks. May be edited more in the future. (Has been edited for more in-depth coverage)

Later!

Hmm. I like it. It's actually a really good storyline. Now my goal of the week is to find out what L.A. stands for . . Los Angeles? Laggy Atmosphere? Ludwig von Asshole? Low Air? Lethal Assassin?
....
Luigi Android?

Nice job though. Would like to see some screenies soon

I believe that SMU is like a long hack split into different "Parts". like TV shows.

Well... this was supposed to be Luigi's hack, but my beta was glitched so I had to restart, so I'm sticking with Mario throughout the SMU Series. I'll have to change that story soon anyway for it, plus I have some screens of what three of my subs would look like. Take a look.

The forest are is Dyna Forest. It's also the place that has an eastern desert area. Beside it is Bubbly Clouds, the levels loosely based off from Spring Breeze on Kirby's Super Star. And the outer space map is Milkyway Wishes, also -- almost purely -- based off from the same Kirby game. The empty space above Dyna Forest is gonna be "The Altar" Sub-map, the levels in that specified map based off from Ninja Gaiden II on the Trilogy series (on SNES).

Oh wow, I dunno. I LOVE that green water one. You can just feel the coolness in it. And now that I'm done being stupid:

Dyna Forest: Looks great, but the space left of the pipe (cliff) looks awkward. Can you fix that?

Bubbly Clouds: Nice, no problems here. I see you used the 3-up moon turned white for it.

Milkyway Wishes: No problems here

Good job so far.

Water: Uhhh........
Space: Nice, that sun looks odd though. Too square.
Forest: I like how it goes through an existing path instead of carving a new one. What's with the big brownish chunk?
Clouds: Neat. The pipes defy physics though.

The Altar Sub-map wasn't started on when I posted that screenshot, and I'm working on creating a "pipe" that is seen underneathe the clouds so the pipes (won't) defy physics.

Hotbeat (the sun like planet/star) could be changed, but the red specks (that glow by the way) represent closely enough to Solar Flares off the surface of the sun... While I'm on that map...

The green orb like planet with the chuncks of gray dirt below it is "Floria", the big blue watery planet is "Aqualiss", the periwinkle colored planet with clouds is "Skyhigh", you already know what star/planet is Hotbeat, the strangly colored moon is "Cavios", next to it is "Mecheye", a futuristic mechanical star/planet, the planet surround by SMW styled clouds next to Aqualiss is "Halfmoon", and the castle looking planet that strangly reminds me of Dr. Eggman from Sonic (next to Halfmoon) is "N.O.V.A.". I tryign to create part of "earth" in that space sub-map -- hence the ground where the Star Road is -- but I don't know if I can accomplish it... you'll have to wait until I can get the desired results.

In Dyna Forest, the brownish chunk is a browner type of sand, in the easter area of the new continent. I sacrificed the "Bowser Cave" tiles for it. I'm gonna place a door near the large planet like mountain near the second yellow dot to make it look like a "living" cave filled with vegetation.

In Fu's SDW:TLC, in the cloud map, disable the border and you see the 3-UP moon... that kinda gave me the feeling of doing the same, plus the SMB3 styled stars over at Bubbly Clouds have a yellow glow to them once it's animated.

Looks really good to me. I like especially the concept with the Milky Way Wishes-Worldmap (The sun is indeed a bit square, but besides that, really cool). The castle tile in the Bubbly Clouds map looks also really nice!

You try for an actual plot, which is good, but you base part of it on the Shadow Realm, which was the worst thing to ever hit anime since Dragonball Z's pacing problems.

You try to put in the KSS planets and NOVA, who is 12 different flavors of awesome, but you fail miserably and end up with this graphic that looks like the love child of Sinistar and The Thing.

I'm so conflicted.

I think it looks quite good. You could always replace the pipes with star roads, unless you changed the graphics on those. Pipes that extend that far would look bizzare (IMO). Also, instead of that vine, I think you should just make the event connect the clouds. The vine doesn't look very good there.

The forest level looks very excellent; I like how you overlap trees to give it more realism.
And the brown stuff looks like a sand trap to me. Is that what it is?

The planets submap is great. No problems here.

The Altar Sub-map is finished, and yes, Dyna Forest has one sand-trap level, hence the brownish looking sandpit.

You can see a snake if you look at it better. The water I made it look blood red, as if it was really a large pool of blood. The lightning does take effect once it's played in the ZSNES, and the stars represent something similar to glowing souls or a un-holy infused swords. The path Mario takes up to the seventh castle, then to the entrance to the Altar is like going up a curving mountain.

There are also a few other cameos, which includes Magikoopa Myster, and Peardian (they're comics over at the Modern Art thread are my favorites next to Stage Select: When Masters Attack, and Bob and George). Plus there's one hidden level dedicated to FuSoYa since he's the creator of Lunar Magic.

Your new one The Altar looks good - but what Jolly Ol' St. Nick said about the tower's gotta be fixed. It shouldn't be exactly straight up - make a few bumps in it or something.

Also, the black door looks a bit misaligned. Could you make it a bit bigger or something? Other than those, it looks great, keep posting screenies
