I've not seen a mention of this anywhere, but there's now a downgraded from Version 2.0 to Version 1.5, which puts homebrew within reach of us Europeans. I tried it and it's great, works fine and doesn't brick your PSP, Playing Sonic on the move is ace.....

Anyone else tried it?

Can any suggest some decent homebrew progs for the PSP, I'm not interested in PSP ISO's...

Yeah, I picked this up last week when it came out. Great stuff.

DOOM-PSP is fun as hell. You need the actaul WADs, though, or else you're going to be using the Shareware one that comes with it.

Also, NesterJ and UoSnes9X. THey're the best NES and SNES emulators out there. I've gotten Super Metroid to run full speed at 333MHz with transparencies on, Frameskip at 2, and sound quality at 44hz.

NesterJ needs no modification at all. It's always full speed.

And yet Sony tries to mess things up by gearing up for upgrade 2.01.

I don't get it. Sure it's kinda sneaky, but if people are, you know, going to BUY the systems to use these programs...

I sense that homebrew won't last long on the PSP if Sony keeps updating. I can't believe they actually watch the PSP Hacking site to check for these things. Don't they have better stuff to do like enjoy their billions of dollars the company is worth?

Problem is that Sony thought they had the bug solved with 2.0. And it did take the hackers a while to get around it.

Sony can make it harder and harder, but I can't see them totally blocking every single hole.

Cymoro - I can't get Doom PSP to work, all I get is "This Program cannot be run" on it.

UOSNes seems a but slow for me, especially on Mario Kart, however PSPGenesis is perfect so I can play Sonic on the move
