(ooc: Okay, please don't be intimidated by the opening post. This is the level of roleplay that I start with, and if you just want to fight or whatever I'll adjust what I do to what you do. Aside from that, this is one of my first attempts at a melee-oriented character, so while there will be plenty of flashy stuff it'll also be combo-driven. In my opinion, the story is more important than winning or losing, but if I'm overdoing it, be sure to let me know.

Have fun!)

A bell rings out through the night sky. Twelve identical tolls, shouting out defiance into the darkness. There's a bit of cloud cover, and the full moon provides enough light to see the glint of the metal tip of the bell tower that stands above a once-prosperous city. There are no people in the streets, and looking closer every one of the buildings is old and in poor repair. Many of the wooden houses have downright collapsed, and some of the stone buildings are missing walls. It's obvious that whoever lived here moved on long ago... The only structure still intact is the tower which houses the ancient black bell. Every midnight it rings out, though the attendants have long since died or moved away.

A figure flies overhead. It's only noticeable because it momentarily obscures the moonlight, a shadow passing over the dead town. There's a sound, similar to that made by a sword being sharpened, and the figure steps out from an alley into the main street in front of the tower. It's pretty tall, and carries a longsword that shines in the light from the stars and the moon. It kneels down facing the bell, and puts the blade point-first into the ground. It's almost as if this person is showing respect to a king, and incidentally that's what's happening. Out of the wall of the tower comes the ghostly form of an ancient emperor, who floats forwards, resting a hand on the figure's shoulder. It stands, and the spirit floats into the body. The two match perfectly, and as the completed person turns, the light gives a quick look at
his general appearance. He's wearing black, dulled plate armor. There's no helmet, and short, lusterless black hair casts the face in shadow.

However... There is another creature in the streets of this long-deceased city...

The figure stepped out from behind an soon to be collapsed woddenhouse he looked at the sight of the soul floating into the mans body he put a smile on his face walked forward until he was about three meters behind the man and said.

???: Heh, combining souls with dead people allways an good way to get power. If i am not mistaken that's what you did. I can sense a lot of energy coming from you.

The man had long dark brown hair and was wearing a black cape with two holes on the back. he was average in lenght and pretty much normal looking.

???: And i like to test my powers against others and train against others at the same time. It's an enourmus pleasure! Let us see if you are an worthy opponent.

The man turns to face the new arrival. The face remains enshrouded as both eyes suddenly flare up with red lights. Anger exists, but the man seems to know very few ways to express it, as evidenced by his next action: He pulls the sword out of the ground, crimson energy roaring into flame that envelops its blade. With a quick flick of the wrist, the man jumps forward slightly, swinging the weapon in such a way as to remove the target's head and neck.
