As a child, gaming wasn't just trying to beat Mario Kart on 150cc. It was about a silent bond between me and my cousins. I think anything can hold memories, and for me it was video games. The games I think holds the most of my memories are Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.

What games hold the most memories for you?

Super Mario Bros. - my first video game ever, taking two full months of play to finish this game, going through lots of lives - getting five lines of text with a short and looping piece of music while seeing few pixels representing Toadstool. I never forget that - when I was playing with a friend, he usually had to wait until 7-2 where I began using lves first; so he usually could play cards or something else before it was his turn

Super Mario Bros. 3 - Simply the best 2D jump and run on this earth, loving the hammer suit for eternity, having nasty problems in world 7 until I finally could the game - also having the most innovative level design as well

Later I got grown up, but these games are still memorable even today:

Rudra no Hihou - this game simply introduced me to east-style RPGs, it has these cute characters, very neat graphics (best world map tilesets ever on a SNES, the dungeons and the villages also rock), along with tons of animations, good music and a higher difficulty level which invoked strategy, the creation of new magic-spells as well as the proper usage of the limited amount of MP

Valkyrie Profile - the battle system still is the best one for me outside, it also showed me some nice work from the music guru Motoi Sakuraba.

Diddy Kong Racing - unbelievable how hard a game targeting children usually could be - I even cannot get past the first Wizpig race (), thus also having the ability to use planes, hovercrafts aside the karts as well.

This´ll be a long reply...I think.

Super Mario Bros. 3 - This is the best platformer for NES I´ve ever played. I remember when I got to Bowser's castle for the first. I wanted to show everyone how far I had gotten. Abd when I battled Bowser for the first time, I thought that you´d hop on his head. But he was still easy when I understood how to do.

Megaman 3 - This is my favorite Megaman game for NES. The music is awesome. I could sit and listen to The second Wily theme for hours. It was a fun game to beat even if the last battle was glitchy.

Battletoads - This is one of the best NES games I´v ever played. I´ve had much fun with it. It´s pretty hard as I´ve only gotten to the 8th stage. The last part in the 7th stage can be a pain in the ass.

Phantasy Star IV - This is my favorite RPG for SEGA. No other game has had such an impact on me as this one. I actually got sad when
Spoiler:
Alys died.

The Dark Force battles was my favorite battles of the whole game. And it had kick-ass music too. This game had decent difficulty.

This is it for now. I´m sure I´ll have to edit this as I remember more games.

Punch-Out - NES. This was one of my favorite games too. I remember when I beat Super Macho Man and got to challenge Mike Tyson. He could be a pain in the ass with his OHKO punches. But I beat him. And that felt good.

Oh, the memories I could tell you about SMB3 and SMW... but I don't think many would care. Funny one from SMW was when I fought Iggy for the first time... it said 'push him into the lava pool', so I rammed into him.

That game rocks. The first pig race is probably the hardest level, though, until you get to the silver coin races in worlds 4 and 5 of mirror mode.

I remember playing NES when I was a child. I used to chew on my controller and throw it on the wall everytime I lost. Went through about 3 NES systems in my life. I enjoyed SM: AllStars the most. I always tried to find every secret in the game, watched the Super Show, then played some more while eating several bowls of cold cereal. Good times!

Yeah. Plenty of bite marks in all of my old Nintendo consoles.
NES, SNES and N64 from Diddy Kong Racing.

Funny how smells can sometimes remind me of a game though. Like "Hey! I remember that smell from when I used to play Sonic 2!" and stuff.

Ah yes. The memories. Super Mario bros was also the first game I ever played (when I was 2 years old). Metal Gear 2 and Super Mario bros 3 also brings back memories. Ahhhhh.

I agree with those who said Diddy Kong Racing (possibly one of the best game I ever played. And completly finished).

Also:
- Perfect Dark (played alot, still playing from time to time. It was pretty innovative for it's time).

- SMB (one of my first games, ever)

- TLoZ: Link's Awakening (the first real game I've ever owned).

Everyone remembers their first time.

Maybe his mom was baking apple pie when he was playing Sonic, and whenever he smells apple pie he thinks of Sonic. I have those crazy mind-links sometimes and just pause and think, "Why the hell am I thinking about the first time I tried a donut?" or something.

Isn't scent like one of the strongest senses or something?

Yeah. The sense of smell can revive long forgotten memories. Most of mine are linked to video games.
One Lynx body spray reminds me of Final Fantasy 7, while another reminds me of Final Fantasy 8.

I remember first playing Goldeneye at my friend's house, and a few months back, a smell reminded me of that.

An overheated SNES console reminds me of Terranigma or Secret of Mana sometimes.

Is that an anime RPG series? Because that´s what I got when I searched for it.

Do you know if there are any translated games?

I always used to play Metroid Fusion on the can. Now the smell of feces reminds me of the game.

That I know, no there are not. And, this makes me very sad because I'd love for more and more people to be able to play these games...maybe some day Konami will re-make them for the Gamecube or PS2 maybe (even though some of the later games are already for the PS2^^ Which is sort of why I hope something like that could be for the Cube because even though I have PS2 too, the GCN NEEDS a sure hit, especialy these games and the SFC got one anyway so its nothing ENTIRELY new for Nintendo).

And to answer the first question, it is a non-hentai daitng sim sort of game, but it is VERY fun, VERY addictive, and I love it to peices! I know an english WEBSITE exists at least, at least let me find that for you..I'll edit this once I've remmebered it

SMB3, I remember because it was just fun as hell. World 8 was always the bitch though .

SMRPG I remember most of all because I've replayed it over and over, and I keep coming back to it.

Disgaea taught me that games can be funny, and also horribley time consuming.
