| I thought I'd post this here and not in Help... A feature I'd like to have on my board is a quick way to delete users. Not just that, but also making it so deleted users who have posted will have their name displayed as plain text instead of a link to their user account... Has anyone done a mod for something like that ? |

| the deleting the user part would be pretty simple, but making it so anything posted by that user, his name is only text, and no link, well, that could be a little trickier, you would have to delete everything in the database about the user, except the username...but actually, let me go try something. | |||

| Okay, thanks. I guess there'd just be a need for an indicator as to whether an account is deleted or not. For example, a new field, or reusing an existing one, like if password = blank, then the account is "deleted" and all... Not clickable, doesn't appear in the member list or anywhere, except in threads and posts... And also, you shouldn't be able to log into deleted accounts whatever you try, of course. Edit: Also, deleted users who didn't post at all shouldn't have their name kept in the database, their account should be fully deleted... And someone who wants to register the same name as a deleted user should be able to. Deleting users should also decrease the amount of members on the board, of course...
