Known about this for about five or six months now. I already have the OST to it, you could probably take a look at the older posts in the DDR thread in General gaming to get an idea.

I counted 29 in the Japan version. I'm not sure if that's going to be different in the release here or not and I'm not sure if any of the songs are going to be changed up in the release, but it does seem to be a promising mix, even though it's a short one. And trust me, considering what I've put through in terms of the series and the songs that I put down for SM in my spare time, it takes a lot for me to say that.

Still, I would think GC would be better off getting something close to DDR Ultramix 2/3 or DDR EX2. They need it. Bad.

So, now that this is out, has anyone bought it yet? I saw a commercial for it last night, it was interesting, I suppose.

I've seen a few vids of it. Graphically, it's probably superior...but steps...just seemed a bit easy in my opinion.

Then again, I didn't see a single vid with Super Hard on it.

It probably has harder modes on it, but I guess they didn't want to discourage potential players by showing clips of playing at high speeds.

To be honest, I've never, not ONE time in my life, played a DDR game. A friend of mine here, Grey, suggests I should try it. I've agreed, and that was quite a bit ago and I still haven't found the time. Which means, in turn, that this game and I were meant for each-other.

Now... if only they'd make a Sonic the Hedgehog DDR game! That would REALLY own!!

Did you just enter my mind and take that from me? I was thinking the same thing!

DDR: Mario Mix is perfect. It is what it really is. What I mean by that is that Easy is... easy and Very Hard is... somewhat very hard. Don't even try the level after that. God, Bowser's Castle... that is a freaking hard remix of a Double Dash song!

The best remix in the game, though, has to be the Dr. Mario remix. That is one of my favorites. It is just... wow.

There are a wide selection of songs, some familiar, some... maybe not. Nevertheless, this game is good. Not on the range as DDR: Ultramix, but a good DDR game.

I just got the game and I must say it is fun! My favorite of the songs is probably either Deep Freeze (from Dr. Mario) or Starring Wario! (from Wario World). Do you think they'll release the soundtrack?

I think this game is going on my Christmas list. Does anyone know how much the pads are seperately? Two pads are better than one!

I don't think they sell them in stores. You might have to buy it online at Nintendo.com.

Or steal them off the internet. Yep, it looks like you're out of luck.

I can't see how I can avoid a copy. Not only are Dr. Mario and th, but I haven't been able to pick up another DDR version since I don't have a PS or XBOX.

Plus, I need to prove that my feet are l33t and I be a DDR high-roller, and that I can dance to the beat like I can pwn with my controller.

I've gotten into the DDR craze with this game. It's simple enough for novices like myself, but it progressively gets harder at a nice pace. So far, I can dance an A/B on most of the songs on Very Hard.

I will send money to anyone who posts a video of themselves freestyling to Bowser's Castle on Super Hard and getting an A.

I went and bought it, which should be a cardinal sin since I never actually got around to buying Advance Wars DS, which Kyouji has never stopped referencing since he got it. I guess I got karmic retribution by most of the songs being mediocre, even Deep Freeze, which I couldn't help but look forward to.

And before any of you jackasses say something along the lines of "what did you expect? its mario! lol" take a look at some of the remixes on the internet. Some aren't good, but some are just so freaking awesome. I expected better from Nintendo.

But I have yet to really delve into the game; Bowser's castle and some of the others later on should probably be good, right?

Edit: Bowser's castle remix is quite good. Probably the best song in the game. Now when will silly designers learn...

Lots of text + 'EX', difficulty settings, and other such things that make you start over = Bad stuff

Oh, and if I hear one more Mario plotline about somebody wanting to steal our wishes, dreams, music, or other such concepts someone's going to have to die.

Yeah, Bowser's flip was 11 different flavors of awesome. The best moment in the entire game was waiting, watching Bowser bust a move, and then jamming on those arrows and rockets as fast as you can to the best remix in the game. Also, these songs have a higher 'stuck in your head' value than I expected. Didn't expect Garden Boogie to get stuck in there, but it did.

Man, though, the song choices were really bad. You have a lava navigating level but instead you play "Always Smiling"? There are a billion castle lava cave remixes that they could have had but didn't. Corona freakin' Mountain. Corona freakin' Mountain. I loved that one. But no. It was not meant to be. They ended up defaulting to... ugh, I can't bring myself to say it, play the game and you'll see.

They had the Mario Kart riff but put it in the terrible Midnight Ride. They had access to Paper Mario songs, many of which would be far better choices but put in a Ms. Mowz mix instead. And the best part about her song was that it was just so wildy disproportional to the calm background music that it just sort of threw you, an event not present in this game, chock-full of techno music.

Besides some mixes which barely made the 'good' mark like Starring Wario, the fact that they put in music from one of my favorites, GB Donkey Kong, and the songs I've already mentioned, I haven't seen anything above mediocre. And that's sad.
