I'm highly looking forward to this system, but it really comes as no suprise. Being a big Nintendo fan, it'd be hard not to like it. The possibilities seem endless. I'm kinda wondering if they'll have any games that require the use of two controllers.
Dual-wielding, lightsaber action.

See my big list in the other Revolution thread.

Oh, BTW, apparently this needs to be emphasized:
YOU CAN USE GAMECUBE CONTROLLERS. Revolution is to Gamecube as DS is to GBA.

Nintendo has got all of the bases covered. Anyone who is worried is out of their mind.

...

This is quite significant. When you think about it, the possibilities for control are so endless, it's not even believable.

Play NES games on Rev with: Revolution Controller + Control Stick Attachment, Revolution Controller Sideways, Revolution Controller as Remote, Revolution Controller + Shell, Standard GameCube Controller, Wavebird, GameBoy Advance (with GCN Adapter), GameBoy Advance SP (with GCN Adapter), Nintendo DS, HORI Controller

Play SNES games on Rev with: Revolution Controller + ABXY Buttons Attachment, Revolution Controller + Shell, Standard GameCube Controller, Wavebird, Nintendo DS, HORI Controller

Play N64 games on Rev with: Revolution Controller + Shell, GameCube Controller, Wavebird

Play GameCube games on Rev with: Revolution Controller + Shell, GameCube Controller, Wavebird

Play Revolution Games with: *deep breath* Revolution Controller + Control Stick Attachment, Revolution Controller Sideways, Revolution Controller as Remote, Revolution Controller + Shell, Revolution Controller Upside-down / Sideways and flipped / turned any way imaginable, 2x Revolution Controller (Dual Hand!), Nintendo DS, much much more...

Besides, with the expansion slot on the controller for attachments, the possibilities will always be endless because Nintendo can always make something new. Also, this keeps 3rd party controller companies from going out of business with the Nintendo camp because, since most can't create controller with gyroscopes inside of them, they can still create control stick attachments and whatnot for the Revolution controller.

Don't even get me started with Smash Bros. for the Revolution. It's too simple. The control stick attachment features two shoulder buttons called "Z1, and Z2".

In your left hand, with the Control Stick attachment...

Control Stick = Control character, like in the GameCube and N64 game. Move left, right, duck, and jump with this stick.
Z1 = Grab
Z2 = Shield

In your other hand, with the Remote controller...

A = Normal A Attack. Used with the control stick, like normal.
B = Normal B Attack. Used with the control stick, like normal.
D-Pad Down = A possible way to jump, along with moving the stick up.
D-Pad Up = Taunt.

See? We even had room for the taunt! That wasn't so hard, was it? However, we don't know how the gyroscopic features will come into play. This will get very interesting... I could go on and on, but I will hold off for now. If you still have any doubts in the Nintendo Revolution, or you decide to bash it, I have plenty more to say.

Kirby, you FANBOY

Okay, now that it's been done once hopefully nobody else will waste our time with saying it again.

Anyways, I'm really looking forward to the posibilites of the revolution. In all honesty, not a single one of us here has any clue how they're going ot implement the controller, but there are definately great possibilities if it's done correctly. The final test is definately going to be how entertaining the games are, because really, that's what matters. And the posibility of using gamecube controllers gives developers a backup to use traditional control schemes in case they're warry about using the rev controler.

Hey, I just thought of something... strapping controllers to your limbs could make for the ultimate DDR game! No more slipping or defective pads, and you can breakdance.

Yeah, I like the whole concept of being able to strap controllers to your limbs for different games. I think that would make for some really cool fighting or shooting games. I'm really hoping that this whole wireless controller thing pans out, cause it could mean some really amazing gaming.
