I think I will try out for some sport..but I didn't ever play anything in school so I don't know if they'd want me . I'd probably sign up for soccer. I remember all those games we used to play in elemantry like kick ball and soccer. One memory is kind of funny but I don't think anyone saw me flip backwards and fall.

If I do get into a sport hopefully it'll keep me in shape..it should. If not I'll need a gym membership..and a job to pay for it.

My fellow lineman got a 4 year athletic scholarship to play football at a University, I forget if it's in Montreal or Quebec, or in the general area of one of your major cities. 3 a day practices, something like 2 or 3 hours each, and school in between. All I can tell you is that they already lost to Laval, on of their first games. Don't know if you Canadian College ball or not Colleen.

Well, there is such a thing as being too hopeless to be helped. That was me with soccer. But softball I was better at, had some skill, and practicing did make me better. And when you're good at something, it's always more fun.

Yeah, it'd help if I had anyone to practice with . My cousins used to play it but I dont think they'd be interested in teaching me but eh oh well I'll get it down. Im sure I won't be too bad at it. Softball I can do for sure. I can actually hit the ball a good distance..a miracle I say!!

I've been lifting weights regularly for the past four years. My exact routine varies, but I generally alternate between a few months of strength-focused workouts (full-body 3 days/week routines based on major compound lifts like squats, deadlifts, bench presses, and chin-ups) and periods of "kinder, gentler" activity. Right now, I'm in a kinder, gentler phase because I have some weak points that are messing up my ability to safely lift heavy. Namely, some of my forearm muscles are wimpier than others (and as a result, I get the bad sort of discomfort when I try to do too many chin-ups, and my progress at the exercise is limited by my cranky forearms instead of by my back and bicep strength). Various weird little muscles in my shoulders and upper back need some help, too (so my heavy upper body lifts don't feel "crunky"), as do my abs and lower back. (A strong core is essential for weight training.)

To get all of that up to speed (and enjoy a change of pace at the same time), I'm basically mixing and matching high-rep sets of exercises that work my whole body (or at least major muscle groups) and provice some flexibility and stabilization work at the same time: dumbbell swings, dumbbell snatches, push-ups, wheel rollouts, planks (holding a push-up position). This is still challenging but in a different way from my usual form of weight training.

My favorite non-lifting exercise is jogging outside and bike riding. I'm still pretty wobbly on my new bike, but I like adventuring around town with Randy (who is much more confident and leads the way). I would like to do some more hiking as well. There are state forests with lots of abandoned mining remnants to see, and I have friends who know where such stuff is and enjoy going on excursions. Roaming around in the woods is fun.

Yeah, you'll be in pain for sure . I remember in summer school every day we had to lift some weights and everything and I'd be fine that day but then the next I'd be in so much pain I had another class like that too in HS but it was kind of fun. I should take a class like that next semester..

I would say so. I've only been in the pit of one concert, and I felt more tired after that than I do after running a mile.

About 3 hours of Mosh/Skank circle tonight and wow, I'm tired.
Edit: Also, my leg hurts this morning.

I guess it's good enough..you still exercise parts of your body. So I guess changing channels on the remote would count for me too .

Also, walking to and fro class is enough of a distance (And the terrain is hilly) to tire me out.

My campus is somehow engineered to make me walk uphill both to my classes and back to my dorm. Or just uphill so much to my classes that I don't notice the downhill trek back.

And Wurl, skanking concerts rule. You win.
