| Anyone think they would be interested in the admin panel I just threw together, it has the existing admin panel features, plus, Add Category, Add Forum, and Add Theme, also, im not quite sure what extra stuff to add, also, this is for 1.A2. I know using PMA is easy, but this is mainly for people who arent to good with sql, or dont want to bother downloading and uploading to your host...so yeah. edit: ok, here is the latest version, with FAQ-SQL, http://dcah.us.to/uploads/admin4-FAQ-SQL.zip download that one. Go ahead and share! I use 1.92, but I've taken things from 1.A2 and modifed them, so...  I also took SyntaxLegend's Admin Panel for 1.8a and modified it a bit to work with 1.92. The ranks system is totally different, though, so I just removed the link to that, and added in a link for my AnnCP mod. So, anyway, yeah, throw it out there! I'll be more than happy to look it over!  |

| I had already made a conversion from 1.8 to 1.A3 but yours sounds better. Mine Use Save Target as or else it will give you some external linking crap. | ok, here it is, what I basically did was just added the 3 features to the current admin panel and as far as I know it works flawlessly, and is fairly easy to use, here is the link http://dcah.us.to/uploads/admin.zip edit: yeah I saw syntax legends, I was looking at it to check to see what other features to add, the only thing I havent added is the option to edit existing categories or forums yet, but I will soon. | yeah, even though I made it, if I didnt, and someone else did, I probably wouldnt use it much, but it is useful for people who dont know how to use PMA, or dont want to download then upload it to their site, since uploading it can take a little while, or for people who also dont know sql. im working on another version, ill probably add delete options for forums, threads, categories, etc...I have a working add photo to the photo album, it allows you to upload the thumbnail and regular size pic from there, so you dont have to go into ftp everytime you want to upload a pic for the photo album. |

| Sweet! Any plans to add User Pic/Avatars support? I believe it works the same as ranks, so a quick mod of that should do it. The only other thing I could think of would be modification of the FAQ, but that would require that the FAQ be MySQL-ized first... Oh! I know! The Claendar supports the addition of custom "events", but it currently has to be done via PMA, so I doubt anyone knows this, much less does anything with it. Add it for completeness? |

| I had an add user pic option...but it didnt seem to work...it said it was added, but it didnt seem to do it..ill try it right now, and if it works, ill update the version, no delete or edit options just yet though. ill save those for tomorrow. for the faq, maybe ill add an option to SQL'ize the faq and include the appropriate faq for people who want to do that, then I can add an option to add to the faq. edit: I just realized something, the userpic takes stuff from 2 tables..userpic and userpiccateg..im sure that could have been taken from the same table .....edit: well, I got a pretty good add userpic, although its may be a little hard to use for some people, but I cant get it working to upload one from that page, ill keep trying for a little bit, but if I cant, you'll just have to upload it manually. Yeah, well I didn't want to make it sound like I was suggesting you just "forget it and use his", so yeah. Always good to have your own code anyways.  The userpic idea is nice, I always wondered if there would just be a simple way to upload entire folders though? Because when I add things to my db, having to do with avatars, ranks, or something similar, I'll usually just have a typed out SQL entry word file, and copy and paste it all to be executed, instead of manually inputting a lot of things over and over again. But, that's me. Still, I'm surprised this stuff still hasn't been added to the real AB distributions. One the biggest features I like about the phpBB system is the Admin Configuration panel -- you don't even have to touch PMA, or anything similar. I just sometimes wish AB's had something like that. |

| Well, the ranks have two tables, too. That's why I was thinking a mod of the code for ranks would work for user pics... And I tried using Ogre's SQL FAQ once. Didn't work too well... |
