"Curses. Why didn't you shoot me?"

* He got up... ...what? He wasn't critically low on energy? How could this be? Why would he intentionally allow himself to be aimed at? *

"In the moment you would have taken to shoot me, I would have struck you down. But for whatever reason, you are not predictable. A normal person would have gleefully tried to shoot me and met death. It is with this that I would have chopped off their hand and stabbed them in the eyes."

* Metal's right wrist hummed, as the strange wristwatch glowed. An orange laserblade appeared there... and he was right, for the most part. Being caught by surprise by that would leave most people missing a few limbs. *

"But I cannot finish you off without reason. If you do surrender, then there is no purpose to flashy and extravagant attacks, especially since this is not a battle to the death, at least not usually."

* Metal hesitated before pointing the blade at Garro, wondering what the raised hand was for at the moment. *

"I accept your terms of surrender. Seeing as I have no need to kill you, and you have shown that you are an honorable opponent. I'm not sure how the judges will see this, but I am most certainly not going to be a hypocrite."

* Metal brandished the saber again, miffed that he hadn't exposed some dishonerable bandit of mindless killing. However it was a relief. After so many fighters willing to explode the world itself to win, this was almost a surprise to him. He then turned it off and it resumed being a wristwatch. With that hand he shook Garro's. The electricity had since turned off--deactivating most combat functions allowed the short-circuits to seal themselves off. Of course, while it was not likely, being in this position would only heighten the chance for him to be hit by a sneak attack. Frankly, most people would be dead. Had this being not had such an extreme pain tolerance and so much cybernetic augmentation, the light beam would have just incinerated him earlier. It had been a good battle, and he was tired. He vaguely hoped to soon see who he would fight next, and who would win this most lengthy tournament. *

"I accept your surrender. Clearly, fighting one another would be pointless. In a way, surrendering was the best option... any attempt to attack me would provoke the hand-severing counter attack, thus causing grievous injury to you, regardless of whether the attack killed or heavily wounded me.I have a feeling everyone would have lost in such a case; my remaining sensors calculate a high possiblility of you shooting me in a fatal way, and my retaliatory actions reciprocating the lethal damage to you. The only winner would have been evil, which is nothing I need on my resume. After all, the way of balance indicates both."

Garro whirled around, grinned, and grabbed Metal's hand.

Garro: "Win, lose, or draw, I couldn't agree---"

He raised his hand, whipped out the pistol, pointed it at Metal, and cinematically faked a shot after skidding backwards and out of range of Metal's laser sword. When Metal's head was proven to have not exploded into pieces, the still-grinning Garro froze in place with his gun pointed in the air wildly and a comical expression on his face, then re-holstered the pistol.

"Whoop! Got ya there. Man, that coulda been WAY too easy. Come on, let's go to the cafeteria, I'll guest you. Oh, but first..."

He snaps his fingers, and his hand begins to glow white. He waves it around a few times, until a trail of light begins to emit from his hand. He places the hand on his breast, and the white light spreads to his whole body. When he takes it off he is, save for the most grievous and abrasive of injuries, almost completely healed.

"Ah, that's better. Let's roll!"

He puts his arm around Metal in a buddy-buddy way, and guides him off of the arena, healing him as he does so. As Garro and Metal pass by Kalar, Garro's grinning companion raises his hand for a high five.

Garro reaches out, makes the slap, and the crowd, which has previously been silent for the entirety of the match's dramatic finish, goes absolutely insane.

Grey: "Well done, Garro. Well done. Both of you, very well done..."

He looks Metal up and down as they leave the arena. This one, he thought, was definitely one to watch.

"Woah!"

* Metal was surprised by the trick shot, causing his eyes to bulge a bit before realizing he hadn't been fatally deceived. *

"You've got to be more careful with that, you might put somebody's eye out. "

* Metal was healed by Garro's magic; the armor once again covering his body. After a certain point, the armor itself began healing Metal as well. *

"And off to the cafeteria we go."

* He left the arena with Garro... who could have guessed two people fighting to the death would leave the battle as friends? *

After Metal and Garro have left to the cafeteria, about a minute later, something's visible in the sky...

Meanwhile...

"Schwa, get UP!" It's Allaura, standing over Schwa's bed and nudging him with both her hands.

"No... Go'way, Allaura... Tired..."

"Schwa, you have to judge!"

"Wha?" He bolts out of bed, then collapses in it again. "No... I'm not judging anymore."

"You can't just quit! They haven't found someone else in time for the 6th Round!"

"I can, and I will. Why don't YOU judge the match." And he falls asleep again. Allaura storms out of his room like a little sister who's just gotten into a quarrel with her bro.

Two familar figures drop into the arena and head over to Grey. One is a 10-year-old boy wearing a cyber-suit, colored blue-silver and shimmering with neon lines that streak over his cyber-parts in patterns every few seconds. The other character is a 10-year-old girl, with nearly celestial beauty, in lavender armor shaped sort of like Jirachi's, with a glossy, silver crystal in the center of her helmet. She looks very happy at the moment... The two figures form Team Gemini, but they don't seem like they usually are.

The girl, Amiachi, steps forward.
"Hi, Grey! We're filling in for Schwa as judges." Her voice is not even echo-y or anxiety-forming anymore! "Don't worry, I sensed the whole battle as we entered the planet's atmosphere."

"Ami," Korra reminds her, "Remember, Grey won't believe you if you just say it..."

"Sure he will, brother!" Ami cheerfully states. Korra feels like he's missing something. "Sorry, Grey, Korrachi doesn't understand your nature just yet. Now, allow me to get to the judging!

"It's hard for me to decide who, between Garro and Metal, is the better fighter. In technique, they were perfectly matched, and in battle they were almost matched, matched enough for it to be a tie anyway. I've noticed that Metal has improved his technique DRAMATICALLY since he first began! He was very descriptive, as was Garro, which is why I say they were matched in technique...

"...I really want to give the fight to Metal because you, Grey, seem to win a lot of Schwa's votes, but I can't be biased, can I? The only difference was, I think, that Garro's internal monolouge was deeper than Metal's, and creativity makes a difference in Schwa's (and my own) judging... Since pretty much everything else was even between the two, that has to be the deciding factor, and the match would go to Garro.

"One thing I need to comment on, though! Metal used a teleporation move at the beginning of the fight, and Garro countered with one of his own. I would say they both broke the rules on that one, so if you could, please tell them both to be more careful!

"That's all I really have to say. Now... --!!" Her crystal flashes. Korra runs up.

"What is it, Ami?"

"Uh... Something is calling from a nearby planet. A war is starting. I can feel their anger from here."

"Then we should go!" Korra takes her arm, and calls to Grey, "Thanks for hearing Ami out! She really wanted to do this. Now, duty calls!"

With a running start, they leap up and Ami summons a telekinetic bubble around them, carrying them into the atmosphere at nearly the speed of light.

Perhaps Ami is no longer captivated by her emotions. Whatever the reason, she's definitely not the same Ami the world once knew!

A figure ran down the halls of the Sim Battle Arena Main Building. Passing door after door, it stopped in front of the door labeled 'Local Mod: cpubasic13'. The figure glanced in the fog window of the door to see someone jumping and moving in a square place.

The figure busted the door open to see William playing his new game DDR: Mario Mix. William halted and looked to see someone panting in front of him.

William: "May I help-"

The television flashed to black with the words 'FAILED' on it. The song he was just dancing to continued on even though William stopped dancing.

William: "GOD DANGIT! On Bowser's Castle on Very Hard too! I was doing good!"

The figure stopped panting and pulled from his large green coat a piece of paper. He flew it out in front of him and began shouting.

???: "YOU HAVE JUDGING TO DO!"
William: "Come on, dude. I have had little access to the outside recently. Things have been getting in the way."
???: "Well, they are waiting for you to judge."
William: "Send in the alien to judge for me."
???: "Wha?"
William: "You heard me. He saw the fight, so he should rate it."
???: "But he hates humans."
William: "And I hate idiots. Now do it."

-------------------------------

Mewquas: "What an interesting battle. Nice to see that some humans like to destroy themselves. But it shames me to see them walking off like some PANSIES! FOOLS!"
???: "Ehem!"
Mewquas: "Oh, look. An official."
???: "You have been told to judge."
Mewquas: "Judge? This? You must be pulling my squeegly-spooch."
???: "Uh, no. You really must."

Mewquas, small Irken Invader, stood in the stands and activated his jetpacks. He landed in the middle of the charred arena and began judging.

Mewquas: "Now, that was kind of PATHETIC! SUPER MOVES ARE STUPID AND ONLY-"

The alien flashed out and in his placed popped William.

William: "Ok, maybe that was a bad idea."

"Anyway, let's take a looks see. Both contenders dealt killer moves and a wide array of awesome skills. That was a nice battle."

"However, in my vote, I go for Garro. Binary for the win! Hehehe, just joking about that. I say he won for a very unique way of battling this time around. Very nice, in my opinion. Metalman did really good, too. A huge upgrade from the previous fights. I like how much the battle was more in depth than most battles. Good."

"So, Garro wins this time. Great job though, Metalman. I have to challenge you sometime."

With that, William flashed out in binary code and sweeped away. In his place, Mewquas stood, continuing his rambling.

Mewquas: "-SHOULD BE USED TO-"
Marty: "Sir, the battle was already judged."
Mewquas: "WHAT!?"
Marty: "Yes. William took your place for a minute and judged it for you."
Mewquas: "Oh... well, then. Marty, prepare the Voot. We are going."
