| Ada: "So Alex if it's a boy, and if it's a girl?" Jarukoth: "Hmm...I sorta like Holly...94...95..." Shino: "Tessa is kinda nice." The team of DiEn is stuck in another spot of story driven indecision as Jarukoth warms up for his match against Cheesepie in thier skybox. For the first time in a while, it seems like everything is going reletively smoothly before a tournament fight... Ada: "You know, if this is the last match in the tournament, this could be your last big fight before the baby is born..." Jarukoth: "That's alright. I've got new priorities now." Ada: "I know. Just make sure you enjoy it." Although he was positive she was just making sure for his sake, Jarukoth wouldn't put it past her if she meant to help him in his fight. As he learned in his fight against Kirbynite, this was one of those arenas when unfocused bloodlust could actually work against you... Jarukoth, now properly stretched, flips back up to his feet. Jarukoth: "Well, it's about time for me to go. Wish me luck!" Jarukoth kisses Ada goodbye, and heads for the door... Ada: "Good luck..." Shino: "Give 'em hell!" ----------------------------------- Jarukoth walks out into the arena to the cheers of the crowd in front of him, and his theme music blasting from the speakers behind him. The music seems to psyche Jarukoth up as much as it does the crowd... He dashes out into the center of the arena as his music dies down, and turns to the arena entrance. Jarukoth: "I've heard good things about you, Cheesepie. Don't let me down, now..." |

| Out of the opposite entrance, a boy of about 17, dressed in a white robe, appeared and calmly made his way toward the center of the arena. Two metal discs floated closely behind him, one on each side of him. Kyle: Cheesepie? Who's that? I'm Kyle, and I'll be your opponent this round. Kyle suddenly looked over his shoulder, toward his entrance, where a large blue bird poked his head out of the shadows. The bird was a friend of his, and mostly assisted him outside of battles. Kyle: Hey, Blue, set up that arena-shifting device now. The design I've chosen should suit us well... Blue nodded, dragged a boxy metal mechanism to the side of the arena, and hastily plugged it into a conveniently-placed outlet. He fiddled with the knobs for a few seconds, and then took a seat in the stands, directly above the machine. Kyle focused his attention on Jarukoth once more. Kyle: All right, then, unless you've got any objections to this battlefield, I'm ready to roll! Good luck, though I'm sure you won't need it... I've heard many good things about you, as well. Probably more than you've heard from me. Kyle stretched out his arms, and each of his floating discs sprouted four long blades, which began rotating at super-fast speeds, like saws! Kyle himself then began to hover above the ground, and the arena shifted shape... it flooded with deep, icy cold water, with blocks of ice appearing scattered around the court. One large, flat ice platform appeared in the middle, giving (albeit slippery) footing to Jarukoth and Kyle. Finally, a light mist covered the arena, slightly obscuring one's view, although not much. | Shino: "Hmm. That's...different. I wonder why this Kyle guy chose this type of arena?" Ada: "I don't know, but it looks like J is already taking advantage of the arena himself..." Shino: "He'll probably play his stealth game, with all this water and mist around..." ------------------------------ Jarukoth: "Alright then, Kyle...let's begin." After taking a brief moment to inspect the arena, Jarukoth unsheathes his katana and goes on one knee, plunging the blade into the ice in front of him. He then puts his palms together, and focuses... "Kirigakure no Jutsu" [Art of the Hidden Mist] Using his body's energy and the large amount of water around them, Jarukoth steadily makes the latent mist around them thicker and more foglike, dramatically decreasing visibility for both fighters, along with most of the crowd... ------------------------------------ Shino: "HAH! I was right!" |

| Jarukoth: "Huh? Oh, it's you, Grey..." Jarukoth releases a long sigh, the mist receding as he exhales... Jarukoth: "Geez...just when I had some new moves to show off to everyone...Crap." He turns to look at Ada and Shino up in the stands... Jarukoth: "Oh well...something tells me things won't stay too dull for too long..." Jarukoth smiles calmly, and walks out of the arena waving to the crowd and his opponent as he leaves... |
