Sadly, this hierarchy has broken down recently allowing for issues like this to come up. Frankly, this incident points out the complete and utter inanity of the Friends of Staff System. Basically, it creates an environment where knuck could've wrote a 12 page paper on why slavery should be brought back due to the inferiority of blacks to whites and you would defend this. Regardless of the language, you would defend him. Simply because he is your friend. You would moan about the PC movement or something. Claim that being black isn't a race. It's a cultural choice. That slavery was their occupation due to their choice to have been born black. Something so lacking in common sense that it would make all 300 million of the Hindu gods cry at once and flood the world. Opposingly you will willing attack those that are not your friends. I find this whole system rather silly because it creates a network of alliances that constantly shuffle around, and it ultimately fails because good administrative actions can never be taken.
