That'll be cool then; we can both go ahead and get this project rollin', but I still am very inexperienced at map editing, but still awesome at level making, so maybe if the others want to continue; one of them can design the map. It's your call...

I'm pretty sure they're still with us, otherwise they would have posted that they are dropping out.
As for overworld stuff, we can either have someone volunteer, or one of us'll have to do it. In the meantime, I need to get started on GFX

Well, my job will be to insert custom ExGFX, for Luigi, and do custom blocks, so once I get pipes, breakable blocks, etc. We can get levels started.

UPDATE: I'm getting the sprites started now, I've got them recoloured and resized to fit the requirements. And could a mod or admin rename this to Paper Luigi progress thread?

Just give me the word and I'll start levels, after you send me the patch for the base hack (Just go ahead, and insert them into a fresh rom, and send it to me if you think thats better.

Alright, progress report:
I have almost all the walking animations for Small Luigi in, and they're lookin good. I also have some special blocks in now, and I'm doing GFX for them. Trust me, it'll be good.

Yeah, but it's also gonna take a while, 4 frames of Mario took an hour, and there's way more than that. I may have to use a custom big Luigi, I'm missing tons of frames, like the shell stuff, and beating a castle animations, and running with a shell, stuff like that

Yes we will.
I have an idea for overworld type stuff, we could have a level, a main level, like in Paper Mario, and Luigi would travel from level to level from there, all we need is 2 ASM hacks that will let us go to that one level from the goal sphere, and another so we can only go in a level if we have enough points, star points would be good, and you would get 1 for each level

no need to mess up with star point, the game already save how many level we have cleared, I will just make a custom block for it and for the level that acess other, I will use my third exit block. also, I will start learning statuts bar ASM so we could have one that keep track on how many level clear(like the star counter in 64)

He's not saying we can't, we can still do submaps, it's just easier to do this instead, since none of us have much experience with Map making
