On my hack Super Mario Remix I'm originally planning to replace SPECIAL World levels with retro levels from past mario games, like SMB 1,2,&3. SM Land, and anything else I'll think of later. Plus, we've already seen 'em. Levels from SMB3, SMB2, SMB1, and SML have all already been done in TLC, by peter_ac, and Sgraff87, and others. Technically we've already seen 'em twice, since, y'know, you're stealing levels directly from those games. |

My idea for you would be - if you're gonna keep the special world all starry and such, make space-type, funky levels. You could do mechanical factories, spaceships, star-levels - all sorts of ideas. Let your imagination run wild! You could also do what I did - make the last level Rainbow Road, since it has a space theme to it. |

Actually, every time you play a rom you're pretty much stealing. I was referring to the fact that if you take a level from a SMB game, chances are we all have already played it both in the original game and in someone else's hack, where they took th level from the same game. So it's just a lot better to simply design your own levels. |

However, there are a few very nice Lost Levels courses. If you were to make retro levels, why not be the unique hacker and make a level from some other game? Like DKC? Well actually that would be a bit hard, but why not at least a game with good GFX? It's not uh, "stealing" at all, it's just that if you're copying the level from some other game, and it's of the Mario series, we've probably already played it, and we would know where all the secrets are, little tricks to beating the level, etc. | |||

I have thought of making some levels based off of other games, but then again I wonder if I should just make my own. I think I'm going to do an element theme for the special world like: Water, Fire, Earth, Dark, Light, Stone, Etc. Etc. I think I'm going to take out the first area out of my Yellow Switch palace, because the glitches are everywhere, and it's just stupid to me, but after that first area I'll keep what in there.
