Well, this is what hopefully SOME of you have been waiting for I hope. This is it - this is the demo I've put together. It may only be 2 worlds, but I've crammed 29 heart-throbbing, show-stopping, X-NauTiating, intense, action pack, ExGFX packed, entertaining, witty, and classic levels, which I hope you will all enjoy.

So please, at least make it LOOK like you care, by downloading the (link removed).

NOTE!

If you happen to find a secret level titled THE GREAT TREE in world 2, don't play it. It's unfinished due to a glitch which I will correct A LOT later. Just a warning.

Please reply with comments, bugs, and suggestions, I really need some popularity

ARGH! The IPS is fricking huge. Sorry about that, still, it won't really be that big of a download

EDIT: Don't report the goal point glitch with the bottom tiles - I already knew it, and Ill fix it when I finish my hack. Also, if you haven't seen the screenies, they are down the page in my earlier post.

FuSoYa: Patch link removed, as it has most of the original ROM inside (it can turn SMW into All Stars + World). Make a proper patch, please.

Thanks, it'll probably work better like that - considering zip files are MUCH smaller. Just tell me the link, and I'll change the url on my main post to it

Ah, great, thanks a lot. This'll be a big help to the people who don't feel like downloading something like that

Well, hope you all play it and enjoy it. My last demo didn't get many replies . . it offended me. But life goes on

Erm .. . because it was the only ROM of SMW I had at the time. Well, actually, it wasn't, but my other one got seriously corrupted.

Ok I was really confused when I started up the rom.

Most people are. But then you notice that SMW comes with it, and it makes the world that much better If I ever found out how, I might change the hack to a different ROM - but I currently don't know how

In that case, make the IPS patch again, this time the SMAS+SMW ROM as the "unmodified" file in the process. If you do that, make sure you say that people need to patch it to a SMAS+SMW ROM.

Bug report complete with screenshots (warning, 17 pictures, but they're PNG)

Vertical fireball error. It always happens. Try removing them or forcing the player to get rid of yoshi.

Background screwiness...

See those coins? You have to push a Blue POW to create a walkway. But the player won't know not to collect them so they get stuck. Replace with pow-activated ? blocks.

What is that supposed to be?

Blue switch? Bleh, who needs it.

This stinks... I WANTED A GLITZ BLITZ, but I get a pit I have to kill myself in

Crystal star?? All I see is a yoshi egg... It's difficult, but you can probably replace the yoshi egg GFX with a star. Dunno if that affects the yoshi eggs in the levels or not...

-Rainbow road-

Yes, a sub-category for one level. Take a look -

There's tons of blocks that you can just sink through in this level. Take this as an example -

I was easily able to warp through the wall when the timed platform took me through.

Huh?? I'm climbing on a solid block??

-Black water lake-

I stopped here, because I had to make this bug report now...

omg I r swimmin in teh roks?!!/1shift+1?

Then I clear the level and yellow blocks pop out of the lake. Argh.

AUGH! THE GLITCHES! IT BURNS!

Oh, and I died touching those glitched blocks. Thats good though because I couldn't get out of the level because the water had solid parts where I wouldn't sink through. Either that, or touch the bugged Yellow Switch.

I haven't played past that area... I'll check around more later.

Oh right, the compliments? Well... The level design is ok. At least it's not 5 miles of straight corridor with a black piranha plant placed randomly on the floor designed to kill me because I'm sick of running. I also really like your choices of pallettes. I need more original pallettes in my hack
The difficulty is balanced, nothing overly hard. Overall it's good, but there are some game-smashing glitches that need fixed ASAP.

End report.

What .. the hell . . . I thought I fixed the Black Water Lake glitch.
EDIT: Holy hell, I'm getting mad now. Why won't this work - I always get the glitchy horribleness.

How did you get the key in Hooktail Trail.

You wanted a Glitz Blitz - that is for world 3. I don't know how you got the key, can you explain it to me? I didn't do Glitz Blitz because you are supposed to get the Blue Switch AFTER world 2.

Background is fixed now, thanks

Fixed the coins in Shhwonk Fortress.

That's supposed to be a goal point in Petalbrug - I changed the sprite set and now it's a ? ball - thanks

I'll turn the Yoshi egg into a star I honestly never really noticed that.

That's never happened to me before in Rainbow Road.

Oh, yeah, the difficulty isn't tough yet. I made it hard before and people complained, so I toned it down. But when you get to about world 4 - watch out. It'll be tough

So the only ones that confuse me now are Hooktail, Black Water, and Rainbow. I will certainly look into them - you were a big help Tat. Thank you

Hooktail trail secret exit without Blue switch activated ---

Have a yoshi as you enter the course. Proceed normally until you find a blue shell sitting somewhere. Get it in your mouth and fly right. You need to set it down and swallow it back up to make it last. Fly under the goal point with yoshi wings. Come back up and land near the key. Spit out the blue shell where you can still see it and the key on screen. Pick up the key and kick it backwards through the goal point. Go back and eat the blue shell again. Fly under the ropes and come back up. Dispose of the blue shell, eat the key, and walk into the keyhole. Wallah.

Oh, one more thing; the music is totally inappropriate for rainbow road. I was expecting the forest or piano theme, but castle music doesnt fit at all.

Well then . . . I guess that will need to be fixed. I'll just make a pipe you go into, and can only be gotten into if you got the blue switch. Thanks for telling me how you got it. Now the blue shell will be no help to you

EDIT: I actually changed that as soon as I released the demo - it IS the piano theme now.

DOUBLE EDIT: NOW I see what you meant with Rainbow Road - when my ExGFX screwed up, they all changed to random tiles. That is fixed now - now all I have to fix is Black Water, and my hack should pretty much be fine

You're right CJ. I thought it was a pretty funny joke hack too.And that it why this should be closed. I'll just release the full version after I make 100% sure instead of 90% sure that the bugs are fixed.

Thank you, and good night.
