| Janus: "You're an asshole." Janus sat, chained to the floor of Sim Battle Arena A, in all of its glorious magnificence, as Grey addressed his troops. Everyone was there: New, old, crazy, sane, and ready to fight. Garro and Kalar stood with their weapons at attention, grinning at the prospect of the battle. Red and "Evan" stood beside each other, trying to steal a glance at each other, yet still not directly looking at one another. Blue and Green had also returned, alongside a pair of people about their height and considerably better-dressed. None of them said anything. A man with a white moustache and a monocle stood, straight-backed and utterly dignified, next to a beautiful, olive-skinned woman in a black beatnik outfit, sunglasses and beret along for the ride. The old man shifted in place uncomfortably as the woman swayed left and right to a beat only she could hear. Neither of them were particularly good at fighting, they were actors, dammit! Beside the two strangers was another stranger: Chances are, only Star and the trendy population of France would know him. He was Jacques, a man very tightly bound to the woman in black... Every so often he would throw a glance her way, checking to make sure she was alright. Grey paced. Grey: "Janus, you know why you're here. Everyone does. It is, after all, the day that I become a man, I turn 18, I am legally an adult. And to celebrate, I wanna throw out an open fight. Anyone can come here. Everyone can come here. You're all gonna go at it with the best of them, and I'm going to join in on the fun too! Now, I've posted some rules..." He snapped his fingers, and from his pocket whipped a scroll, which opened up and he read aloud. "Let's see... I've noticed there are several organizations of warriors out there. With the exception of a few noteworthy combatants (that being the great Dracoon, Jarukoth, and Schwa since they just have so many), I'm only allowing one representative from each organization to enter the fray. I suppose, if at some time into the battle, someone wanted to summon an ally or something, that'd be alright, but we're gonna be civil here. I'd suggest using junctioned attacks with as much frequency as possible. That goes for all of you. Janus, I know you're feeling pretty mad right now and you'd probably rather be spending time with Yiusi, but you have to admit, that Home Run attack was pretty devastating. So let's be businesslike about this: I want to see some REAL action here! Combatants will be determined by order of seniority. If you've been around for a while, you're going to fight. Everyone else, stay in the wings." Janus, at this point, smashed his chains with Satchel, and levitated a few inches off the ground... Janus: "Grey, I'm not going to take any part in this. I refuse, flat out. Your sick and twisted ideas don't belong here!" He turned and began to fly out of the arena, only to be stopped by the snap of a Grey-attached finger... He fell to the ground, and got to his feet, glaring at Grey. "Grr....." Grey: "Janus. Stay." Janus: ".......That does it." Janus gripped Satchel in his hands tightly, dashed at Grey angrily, leapt into the air, and swung down at Grey hard, hoping to smash his friend's head in once and for all. Grey simply lifted a hand, and a force of psychic energy threw Janus back and into the dirt. The rest of the crew glared at Janus, and then nodded to Grey. The fight was on... |

| OOC: Heh...There's only one character I can use here... -------------------- Janus' fall is cushioned with a loud SPLASH... He lands on what can only can be described as a cushion made entirely of water. The cause of how such a conjuration could appear so quickly soon stepped out into view...all 5 feet and 10 inches of her... Kari: Hey guys! What's the fight about? Despite her cute and seemingly naive exterior, Kari Chailyn was no fool. She had overheard Grey's challenge, and came ready to fight. She was itching for a good brawl since Shino had cured her of Nijote's poison, and this certainly looked like the place for it. However, before the fists started flying, Kari takes a moment to smile and wink in Grey's direction... Kari: "Hiya, Grey.  " |

| OOC: Happy Birthday, Grey. You're the MAN. Literally, even. ^,^ As the sun rises... "Ready. You ready?" "Ready." "Let's do this, guys..." A blue streak of ether rockets over a grassy plains, then over a forest, on it's way to a city in the distance... From straight up, a man in futuristic black armor with a built-in afterburner on the back streaks downward towards the city Schwa is off to. In 5 minutes' time, the two figures have met in the air, and the black figure does a perfect right-angle turn to head towards the city Arena. They are now both flying neck and neck. They reach the Arena, and by now the little gathering at the Arena can see these two figures in the sky. The man emitting the etheral streak leaps off his Psi Disc as the Disc dissolves, and freefalls to the ground 32 feet away from the gathering, and as he lands there is a large blast of blue ether to cushion the blow. The black-armored figure swoops down, then curves up and deactivates the Afterburner, letting him fall a small distance on his feet. Schwa the Psi Warrior and Kaz the Cosmic Warrior stand next to each-other, facing Grey's group. 5 seconds later, there's a powerful gold light, as a cream-colored portal opens and out steps a fair girl in a cream-colored skirt with a magenta stripe down either side, long gold hair that flows in the wind, and a warm (yet in this case, determined) look on her face. Yiusi stands on Schwa's left, Kaz on his right. There is a 10 second pause of the 3 figures standing before Grey's group, then they all turn to each-other and slap hands. "Nice going, you two." "Been looking forward to this..." "This'll be enlightening!" They all turn to the gathering again and Schwa takes a step forward. "Hello, friends and foes alike... Long time no see? Grey, I got your telepathic message and we're all here. I got the day off today, coincidentally, so I guess today will be the perfect time to just be friends with each-other... in the most enlightening way possible, of course..." His hands flare up with ether. "But, because Janus is less than happy to be here, none of us will have the first strike. We'll wait until someone else comes and starts the fight, then join in. You feeling alright, J?" Kaz steps up to Schwa. "Waitwaitwait... That ain't right. I came to FIGHT, not wait!" "Oh God... Sorry, I forgot about your lust to kill." "WHAT!?" Schwa smiles at Kaz's reaction. "Why, I'll so take you d--" Yiusi begins waving her hands in an odd fashion... "N-never mind. I'll wait." Kaz afterburners up to the stands and goes to sit down for a while. Yiusi turns to Schwa after glancing at one certain member of Team Grey. "Schwa," she whispers, "You didn't say Janus was gonna be here." "I said the characters all had to do with each-other. But I understand... You don't have to fight him. He probably feels the same way..." They finish talking after a while, and Schwa hovers up to where Kaz is sitting. Yiusi is now left in front of the group. "Uh... Hi guys!" she says, cheerfully but a little nervous. |

| Janus: "......Grey, your abuse of The Heartless was appalling. Kalar does NOT deserve to be treated in such a way!" Grey: "Appalling? The Heartless ARE Kalar's power, Janus! He has to learn to master them in order to acheive his true potential!" Janus: "Bastard! What is Kalar if he is consumed? Nothing but another horrifying machination of their ever-spreading terror! Sora's efforts may have come to fruition, but the Heartless are still a terrible breed of foe that require constant vigilance!" Janus sprung to his feet and rushed Grey again, swinging his hammer in rage. Nijote's training had rendered him much stronger and faster than Grey had expected, and a wall of force was the only thing that quickly separated the hammerblow and Grey's fragile human skull. He retaliated by pointing his palm at Janus, blowing the warrior backward with ease, or so he thought... Janus appeared behind him, lightning speed abound, and the two struck out at each other, Janus with a bashing lower blow and Grey with a hard roundhouse kick to Janus' head. Both connected, and both were thrown backward by the furious blows... Kari and Yiusi might want to start paying attention to this. As for Kaz and Schwa, well, Red approached Kaz... Red: "Heh, the great Kaz? I've heard a lot about you. Interesting guy, you seem to be." And "Evan" felt the need to walk over to Schwa... Evan: ".........." He grinned and raised an eyebrow. "I remember you. You're pretty strong." |

| OOC: Yikes, this is gonna be tough to write. Geezus, do we need to advance Dawn Finally Comes or what! *whimper* Kaz stares at Red... "Great? ...Not likely. If I were great, we would've been able to defend our home planet in the Red Sentinels War. ...You a friend of Schwa?" ...and Schwa stares at Evan. "Evan? ...Hmm... Oh, right. You. Heard you gave Janus a hard whuppin' in a sand temple. We may have fought before, but my memories are not with me right now... Just woke up." Both Kaz and Schwa are up by the bleachers. As for Yiusi, she's in the arena with the fighting Grey and Janus. "Well, that's gotta stop..." She does the best thing possible. She winds up and pitches the Yiusi Ball perfectly to Janus, and it circles him 3 times very fast, creating little glod sparkles around him. Then it proceeds to slam into Grey in the chest (for low damage), if he can't track it and dodge. The sparkles should be enough to let Janus know of Yiusi's presence. "Okay okay... Why the fighting?" is the first thing she says to him. |

| Another cushion of water rushes behind Grey, catching him and reducing the impact of the blow. Kari was a bit annoyed. Nobody was really paying attention to her yet. To get noticed, it would seem she would have to go for the direct approach... Kari walks over to Grey, and plants a light kiss on his cheek... Kari: "Happy Birthday, Grey!"  Without even looking, she points her finger at Janus. The water cushion quickly splits into three spherical projectiles which go flying in Janus' general direction. One thing was for certain; people would certainly notice her now... |

| Grey: "Guh.... KARI? What're you doing here?" Grey's face instantly reddened at the kiss, and he completely misses the blasts from Yiusi's attack, as they send him sprawling backward in his daze at actually being kissed by KARI, of all people. Janus: "Ha, alright! Thanks, Yiusi! I..." He suddenly realizes that yeah, she's actually HERE. Odd situation, to be sure. Janus looks over at her in bewilderment. "Wait a second, before I answer that aren't you supposed to be on the set of Journey to Sandsalot? Don't tell me you got dragged into this, too? Grey deserves what's coming to him, for all the psychotic stunts he's pulled thus far, I'm gonna give him the beating of his li---OOF!" The three water projectiles collide with him directly and send him sprawling backward in a style that is similar to, if not exactly like, Grey's recent shot to the face. The appearance of the girls seems to have done nothing but make the two of them more vulnerable targets... For each other, that is. Instantly forgetting about the presence of their feminine sides, Janus and Grey jump to their feet, each thinking the other launched that attack at them previously (the girls did have them distracted, after all...). Janus/Grey: "I don't know how you did that..." They dashed at each other and continued to fight madly as blue sparks started flying through the air... Both again: "But you're gonna pay for it!" ----------------------------- Red: "Sort of. Which, I guess, makes me an enemy of you?" He grinned as his hands began to heat up ever so slightly... He liked this guy's style already. Evan: "No, I don't believe we've fought. Janus must've only told you about me, we've never come into conflict. But that doesn't mean I don't know exactly who you are..." Red ether begins to encircle him... And this is ether we're talking about, not fire... |

| Yiusi scoffs. "What's this about Sandsalot? You and I already went there, remember? There was the big church, and the old-fashioned restaurant, and the fisticuffs arena... After you left, I went the other way and travelled to Ptaria, a port city complete with an Oracle Temple, and rested there. Anyway... After the Grey Dawn, I felt I finally needed a vaccation, so I came here with Schwa and Kaz. Now stop the fighting!" Yiusi pitches again and the Yiusi Ball attempts to slam into both Grey and Janus in a fraction of a second. "Naw naw, Schwa and I have forgiven each-other... but that's thanks to the Oracle girl down there. A friend of her is a friend of mine, where I come from. But, listen man... I'm bored. And when I get bored, I need to blast something. Do me a favor and think fast!" Kaz immediately activates his afterburner and attempts to slam into Red, point-blank range. He then curves up and around, hovering in front of Red, arms crossed, Tengu Man style. "Uh-oh, a little mysterious, are we?" Schwa says, glancing at the Ether. "You better hope to God that doesn't work against me." He smirks, and after a 4 second pause, he does a double backflip and prepares to fight Evan in the bleachers. "Pingon Word!" (echo effects) At the mention of this attack, swirls of purple-- what is it? Mushroom spores-- fly out of nowhere and swirl together, merging and forming into a purple mushroom with two black, glossy eyes. It can only be a Ma Pingon, and it's incredibly adorable. It stands in front of Schwa, staring at Evan. "Don't mess with Psi!" Master Meter = 80 + 12 for a hit. Yiusi transformation in 12 turns. (edited by Schwa on 09-14-05 05:39 PM) |

| Kari: *sigh* Even after all of that, Janus and Grey still seemed too distracted with each other... Kari: "You know Janus...Grey isn't your only opponent here! Heads up!" The cork on Kari's gourd-pack flies off, and a giant burst of water gushes forth from the gourd. As it flies at Janus, it takes the shape of a massive hand, seemingly attempting to grab him! |
