Fist off Jovis, I'll close and trash this thread whenever you feel it's been here long enough.. if you're still worried about him finding it. Just PM me or say so in here.  That's definitely obsessive.. I wouldn't put up with it if I were you. Tell him to butt out of your life so much, you're not "his" and if a regular friendship can't satisfy him, then he'll have to suffer. It's painfully clear you don't want anything more with him, he's just.. well obsessed. It's a good thing you live in NY and he lives in FL.. otherwise things could be much worse for you.  I'd say to get a new lj, a separate sn (but use your current one sometimes if you feel like chatting) and watch what you say to him. Nothing that will bait him or make him freak out. You're allowed to have friends, he should know this. I don't think he "loves" you. He's infatuated and obsessed with a cute girl with common interests, and doesn't want to let go. I'm sure he's a nice friend.. but he can't take a hint that you want to leave it at that. If you go to Florida again, find a different place to stay. | I didn't think about the restraining order really, until just this morning. Its probably a wise idea to at least look into it. and i'm going to agree with knuck on this one, if he so easily turned two good friends against you... then they probably weren't the greatest friends to begin with. *hugs* |

| Thank you. I'm going to look into this restraining order thing now because after me repeatdly asking him to leave me alone and give me my privacy online, he hasn't obliged. I have also spoken with one of the friends that this guy dragged into this and he informed me that the friends I was worried about losing have ALL been informed of this and were waiting for me to say something. With the relief of not losing my friends, I think I can handle this situation. Funny what a couple of emails can do in such a weird time. Thanks for the advice everyone. I'm going to go read up on the link Thayer posted and see what I can get done. |

| well Im glad that your friends are behind you on this one. At lest look up info about the restraining order to see if it fits and so far..that's what everyone suggested. You really do need privacy..even online..it sucks having someone always question you about it..someone kind of does that to me and it's irritating..anyways. Hope all will turn out well |
