this forum is for making suggestions and asking for help about the board, not a place to post whatever you need help on. | |||

First off, you should look through your emulator's menus to see if there's an option to save screenshots. Most of the newer ones should, but if not, here's some simple steps to follow: 1) Get to the place in the game you want to take a screenshot of, then hold the ALT key on your keyboard, and press "Print Screen". ALT is near the lower left, and Print Screen is above the Insert, Home, and Page Up keys, just in case you didn't know. 2) Open paint, or your image editor of choice and press CTRL+V to paste the screenshot. If you use paint, and a dialog box pops up that says something about the size of the image being larger than what you have room for, then click "Yes" to make the area in paint bigger. 3) Save the image with whatever filename you like, but make sure it's not in .bmp format. Try to use either .jpg or .png. 4) Go to ImageShack, click the "Browse" button, and navigate to where you saved the picture. Double-click the file to upload it to ImageShack. 5) Now you should be presented with a bunch of links to the picture. Find the link enclosed in IMG tags, and cut and paste it into your post. I think that covers pretty much everything Edit: Forgot to close the link tag (edited by Karadur on 09-01-05 04:42 PM) |

No, the description says, "Do you have comments or suggestions about the site, or this message board? Or anything else to ask about? This is where you should post about this." So, this is the right place to ask. 123ANDREW456, most emulators have a built-in function for taking screen shots. It's been awhile since I used one that does, so the only one I remember is zSNES, which is pressing the F1 key. Check the menus and/or documentation for the emulator you use. If the emu doesn't have a screen shot function, then when you get to where you want to take a screen shot, hold [ALT] and press [Print Screen]. Holding the [ALT] key will make it do a screen shot of the currently active window, which should be your emu. If you just press [Print Screen], it will take a screen shot of everything you can see on your monitor. Once you do that, open up an image editing program, and use the Paste function. Edit out whatever needs to be removed, such as the window for the emulator, save as a .GIF, .JPG, or .PNG (no .BMPs. They're too large, and take forever to load). Then, upload it, and show it off. When I take screens, I paste them into Paint, edit them, save them as a .BMP file, then open them in Paint Shop Pro 8, and do any effects I need, like adding transparencies. Then I save as a .PNG, .GIF, or .JPG. |
