| There was already another thread about Mario Party, in fact there was 2 but they're both dead. I've only played two Mario Party games which are 4 and 6. Out of those 2, I'll go with 6 because I like purchasing stuff with the stars I earn and the day and night thing that changes events on the board. | |||

| Haven't played MP6, but the quality of the 5 earlier games have been steadily dropping witrh each new release. The original had so many fun additions not included in the latter games. The plus and minus dice, for instance. Or the original Grab bag game. Or hell, what about the PLAYABLE single player mode? Sure, MP2 had one as well, but it was a pain to unlock. But yeah, MP1 for the win. It didn't have that hateable Magic Lamp item either. |

You should really consider buying 5 and 6. Mario Party 5 features the return of the Star Spirits from Paper Mario, plus a unique mode where you can buy and customize tank-like battle crafts.  The day/night feature in 6 definately makes it worth at least trying. Plus, Mic Games! |

Probably Mario Party 2. I don't own it anymore, so I can't compare.  The first one is great as well.I've only played 1-4 and the horror brough to the GBA that I don't even want to think about. |

| My opinions: Mario Party 1: Ah, the beginning. Nothing wrong with this except those dumb control stick rotating mini games. Mario Party 2: I love this one. The boards are awesome, and so are the minigames. Mario Party 3: My favortite of the bunch. It had awesome items, and lots of REALLY fun minigames (like Fowl Play). Unfortunatly, it has too many luck based minigames. Mario Party 4: Meh, this was kind of fun. It could use some work. Mario Party 5: This one was quite fun, but is nothing compared to the first three. Mario Party 6: WHAT THE HECK DID THEY DO TO THIS ONE? The story line was poor! Come on, the sun and the moon get into a fight over who is better? And then comes Solo Mode. What happened to Story Mode? Solo Mode is a piece of trash, and doesn't deserve to be in any game! Also, there were few minigames I found very fun. And the boards...complete trash. Anybody who likes this game needs help. (edited by Dylan Yoshi on 09-15-05 07:54 PM) |

| i've been thinking... what's the best mario party mini-game? my favorites have always been ones like hot rope jump, the bookworm game(it's on mp4 or mp4. i forget which. it's the one with the book whose pages fall on you and you have to avoid then.), as well as bombs away. the ones where you roll around on balls are also pretty fun.. there's got to be more, but i seriously wish there was a mario party minigame collection. | |||

| Ah, Mario Party...I remember playing Mario Party 1 with me and my friends years back and unlocking the Eternal Star. I loved that game due to it's originallity at the time. Mario Party 2 kinda got repetitve after playing the game about a million times, but Mario Party 3 was my favorite. The new elements like the Duel Map and mini game originallity brought more fun to the games. And don't forget that Tick Tock Hop from MP3 is the most ownage game from a mini game EVER. It just got more bland and repetitve for 4 and 5 and the microphone just made it more aggrivating. | |||

| MP6. I just bought it last weekend, and it gave me a ton of fun. And those Mic Games ARE cool. I didn\'t enjoy Solo Mode thoguh, all it was was repetitive boards. But the normal boards were great, especially Snowflake Lake with the chomps. | |||

| Mario Party 2 had my favorite boards, and I loved the minigames too. IMO, every Mario Party game after 4 was utter garbage. 1 = Great, but the boards got old fast. 2 = Awesome, very nice boards and minigames. 3 = The formula started to get old, but still fun. 4 = Crap. 5 = Crap. 6 = Never played, and I don't want to either. |
