Awhile ago image leeching was problem with my site so I turned on .htaccess

Now I want to get rid of it but I don't know how. .htaccess doesn't show up in my FTP but i know its there! How do I get rid of it? I don't want the image leeching code turned on anymore.

I used to have that problem a few times in the past. If your site has a web control panel with a file manager, try deleting it through that. Or just upload a blank .htaccess file to the directory where the current one is, with the image blocking code.

I use a program called Coffee Cup free FTP. If anyone knows WHERE i can a better free FTP program.

I can't delete the file because it doesnt show up in my ftp. I can't name a file .htaccess in windows, because it doesnt like the period to be first. So what i do is upload it as htaccess.html, then i rename it to .htaccess (with the period) in my ftp. But as soon as i do that, it disappears.

Well, if you use firefox you can use fireftp, the interface is a little cramped, but I've never had any problems with it. find it here
Leap FTP has a 60 day trial, and you can keep reinstalling it. www.leapware.com

Depends how you do it. Most apps will let you save a file with that name, but you can't rename a file to that in Explorer.
