What is the offset for what Lakitu throws? (Sorry if this has already been answered before.)

Also.. I want to know because I want him to throw Sprite 21 (Moving Coin) For a bonus level. Is it possible to change this offset just for one level? o.O

Oh, and finally.. is possible to change how many he throws in a certain level? I only want him to throw, say, 15 coins. What would I do?

Thanks in advance (If any of these are possible),

Lemetaal will allow you to change what lakitu throws. I don't know where you may find it though. It would be through the entire game though, I can't help you there. Sorry.

Gah. A hex editor + the location in ROM does the same thing as Lemetaal. Sure, if Lemetaal worked with complicated tables, then you would want a program to do it for you. But it doesn't. It just edits addresses you could do just as easily with a hex editor, and it forces you to use the arrow keys.

Here. Have an IPS patch that probably makes a Lakitu that tosses something different depending on the music playing. But since I didn't test it it could just crash your rom.

Wouldn't it be best to make a block that changes the sprite Lakitu throws?
That way, you could have different... well, let's call it armory for Lakitu not only during the game but during levels.
As this block would only change one stupid offset, it shouldn't be too hard, ne?

I'm pretty sure if you want lakitu to throw one thing in one level, and another thing in another level, you can use MWR and copy the original lakitu properties to an unused sprite. Then using lemental of whatever, edit the address of what he throws. Or a hex editor because I am not to sure how lemental works.

That wouldn't work, since MWR doesn't copy the code itself. If you did that, two sprites would use the same code, and therefore, changing one of them would affect both.

To properly do it, wouldn't you need to JSL out from his code to a custom subroutine that reads from a byte in RAM for what to throw, and also if it hasn't been set up yet, prep that variable. I might be able to do it, but I'm a bit bust right now.
