Umm... I'm not sure if anyone else noticed this, but the post backgrounds seems to dissappear when I put layouts on auto-update. If I go back to enabled, they work again.

Auto Update means if a user took out a post backround it will never show up again until you select enabled. Auto update takes there current layout settings and uses them on every post since auto-update is selected.

Or have you checked that out already?

Well regardless, everyone tells me that Post Backgrounds are not recommended, and it's suggested you just stick them in a table in the Post Header. Apparently it just works better.

Yea, indeed. But look at Angel's layout for example. It seems that the white text background is a post background, cause it disappears when I select auto-update. It shows up fine in the profile tho...

I've seen weird things happening with the "background" feature... Like it only working in profile and previews, but not in posts...

As for auto-update, I often have to REactivate that option in my profile... For some odd reason, it'll just go back to "enabled" by itself from time to time, I don't know what triggers that...

That's why I removed the Post Background option from my board.

And Stifu, that happens when edituser.php is used on you. It's bugged. The code says that Disabled is 0, Enabled is 1, and Auto-update is 1. So, anytime staff uses that to edit somone who uses Auto-updating, they'll get set back to Enabled.

Ah ! So it's an easy fix ? I just gotta put 2 instead of 1 for Auto-update ?

The fix will only work for you board, but yes.

Look for this:
$vsig="
$radio=viewsig value=0 $checked2[0]>Disabled
$radio=viewsig value=1 $checked2[1]>Enabled
$radio=viewsig value=2 $checked2[1]>Auto-Updating";

Change it to this:
$vsig="
$radio=viewsig value=0 $checked2[0]>Disabled
$radio=viewsig value=1 $checked2[1]>Enabled
$radio=viewsig value=2 $checked2[2]>Auto-Updating";

Then just re-upload your edituser.php, and everything should work.

Of course ! That's obvious.

And yeah, I did that fix before you confirmed it, just because I couldn't wait for your reply.
Thanks.

Edit: By the way, the part you put in green in your message only shows when replying, your layout is preventing the green from showing...

Oh. Right. I have layouts off, so I don't notice things like that. I've never been able to figure out why I can't do colors with this layout...
