Don't you find it odd that the weaker Boo is called The Big Boo, but the stronger one is called Lil' Boo?
How hard is Exor without the Genowhirl trick?
If you did, what were you at when you defeated Culex? I had level 24 team of Mario, Princess with Lazy Shell, and bowser. Mario and bowser were dying constantly so i didn't care to use Come Back on them. Most of the gems ran out of MP. I was nipping away with Princess' Frying Pan, but Culex could only do about 42 damage at most. Long, but easy.
I love the hurly gloves. Can't put Bowser and Mario together without some fuss!

This is a pretty random thread... ok, I guess.

Not really, it's all about the apostrophe.
Not very, I'm very good at the game (Aside from being the most modest person on the face of the earth... ) and I never used Geno after I had the princess.
My best record is Level 16 for beating Culex. The real trick is to play the whole game low-level so you get used to having a hard time with everything. That file had beat the game at 15. My strategy involves using an auto-controller and having something else to do while you rack up money at the infinite coin box, then buying Royal Syrups and Mushrooms for the item trade-in and crazy mushroom guy respectively, so you have tons of items. Rock Candies, Fire/Ice Bombs, and Red Essences are all you really need to beat Culex early, and if you bothered to ransack Bowser's Castle fully you can find enough of these to keep going for a while. In general, I never give the Lazy Shell to anyone if I'm playing the game seriously, because if you know what you're doing then the Princess has turns in which she doesn't have to Group Hug, and she can easily do as much, or more, damage than Mario or Bowser. In fact, my play style is so aggresive that I had everyone wearing the Work Pants throughout most of the game for the attack power boost.

As you may have noticed, I am terminally addicted to this game.

Well, I played through the game once using Geno Whirl on everything, and it seems so cheap... The real advantage to using Geno is the Geno Boost, which can make my Mario clear 1000 damage on a normal attack. It's a lot better than the items you buy for frog coins.

There's a glitch in the game that you probably know about, where the Safety Badge has a whole lot more magic defense than it says. Seriously, if you never noticed this, put this on the Princess and you can take off the Lazy Shell.

Did anyone here ever succeed in doing the 100 straight jumps necessary to get Mario's super accessory?

I'm cutting this off here. I have just managed to affix myself in everyone's mind my stupendous nerdiness...

And I haven't played this game in three years...

I'm suprised they didn't call the weaker one Boo Buddy and the harder one Big Boo.

I didn't use Geno against Exor, and he was pretty easy anyway.

I forgot when I beat Culex, but he was hard. I despise those dang crystals!

Culex was easy if you had the Lazy Shell as your armor which I equiped to Mario. The only problem was it took a long time to defeat him but I did in the end kill him and all of his crystals before killing Culex. I just hated killing the green crystal the most.

I didn't beat Culex til I was level 23, at first I didn't even know how to get the key to his door . But boy, was he a pain in the ass - especially the Wind Crystal, kept turning me into mushrooms But I learned my lesson, and bought that thing (whats it called again?) that prevents it. Culex himself was a wimp (I never did find out what Shredder did, but Dark Star hurt) but the crystals were the big challenge.

Exor was easy. But then, I had plenty of rock crystals, so kept taking out everything.

I personally think it's impossible to get 100 stright jumps, because when you hit like 20, you have to time it exactly right. My record for that is only 26

Oh yeah, has anyone ever managed to get all the hidden treasure chests? Only one I missed was the one in Land's End, first area - I looked everywhere, but couldn't seem to find it

I forgot that I fought Culex at Lv.30. Is it just me or does that wind crystal have a very high defense?

Exor was easy, only the first time was hard because I came unprepared and was expecting a second boss battle in a row. I managed to survive though.

Shredder? It takes off Geno Boost and Red Essences.

My record for the Super Jump is... wait for it... 156. Yes, I succeeded, but I cheated with running my emulator super-slo-mo. In the real game, I only had 48.

I remember I got all the treasures in the game once, but I haven't played this game in years, so I can't help you with specific treasures anymore, sorry.

The trick against Exor is to use Mallow, because Shocker does ridiculous amounts of damage against him. Of course, that means going through Boomer with Mallow, which is... Hard. But only if you're level 14 at the time.

Seriously, play the game super low level, it's really fun.

What? You mean the 3 flags for The Three Musty Fears?

Umm . .

I think you get some kind of accessory that sucks. I know I never used it, and I was a bit annoyed. Some people might find it useful though.

Umm. where do you get there Signal Ring again? I want it so I can find all the treasure chests?

Collecting those three flags gives you the useless Ghost Medal which raises your defense and magic by 2. Woopee.

The Signal Ring is... I forget.

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that the Signal Ring is found in the sunken ship, just a couple of rooms beofre Johnny. Just search around underwater for a door near some barrels. As for your questions:

I did find it kind of strange, but I never really thought about it that much.
I can beat Exor easily without Geno Whirl. I never could get that trick to work anyways.
I can't remember exactly.
I prefer the Ball n' Chain to the Hurly Gloves.

I can only jump on enemies up to 20 times. I'm not very fond of the jump technique and I don't really care about jumping multiple times just as long as I do some damage on the enemy.

Star or mystery? I only know that the star egg hits all enemies for i think 100. It might be 200 though. For the mystery egg, i think it has something to do with the lamb's lure quest.

This is absolutely the easiest RPG I've ever played

I've beat it about 10 times (seriously), and I'm just sick of it.

Get it away from me.

I probably could beat the game at a lower level than 20, but it's just so easy to level that I can't
