Hmm...

I'll get the Revolution if Nintendo's take on innovation isn't horrifyingly terrible. If it plays good games good, I'll get it.

I might get the PS3, but I'm not too sure. Maybe if a Kingdom Hearts 3 is announced... though it might take more than that to coax me into getting it. Still, I'd like to have more than one system, and this'd likely be my second choice.

I'll only get the Xbox 360 if I hear word of a Banjo-Threeie, though I might just get the minimum specs. I won't need 'em, I don't plan on supporting the Xbox. I just like Rareware.

Backwards compatibility is a must for me concerning both the Revolution and PS3...since I don't own a GameCube or PS2, my brother does. But I have lots of games for both systems.

Sadly, I've never played through all of Metroid Prime, because my brother's GameCube kept freezing up at certain parts and giving error messages. I kept telling him to get it replaced, but he never got around to it. Finally when he decided he was going to do it, his warranty was over. Argh... So I'd reeeeaaaally like to play through that game, without problem, and also get to playing the second game.

I hope Nintendo releases a device for the Revolution to play all their handheld games. Game Boy, GB Color, GB Advance, Nintendo DS... I hate handhelds. There are DS games I wanna play, but don't want a DS...

Perfect Dark Zero being the best game on the planet? I, uh, wouldn't count on it, heh. I guarentee you it'll be a step back from the original.

I don't imagine they'd do the DS, as it would draw attention from the actual system, but they might allow games from the gamebrick. Possibly GBA.

But then again, you can never tell what Nintendo's going to do next.

Playing a touch screen game on a console? I can't see that working very well.

As for me, the Revolution for the clibrary of classic games. I was sold when they announced that.

Dunno about the other consoles - I'm sure they'll be priced higher than they're worth, especially at the release. I'll probably pick up at PS2 instead, and play the games I missed out on this generation.

I can understand your skeptism as most of the staff who worked with Perfect dark isn't working on Rareware anymore. :/

But heh, I loved the orginal Perfect dark. But I won't buy a console for a single game.

Now, if only people will stop criticizing X-Box purchasers because they don't want to buy the Gamecube because there is virtually no online support and there are a grand total of 5 games I'm interested in

Hey, if you want to play Phantasy Star Online...

I'd be more pissed off at the people looking into buying Xbox units online - only in package deals at EB/GameStop right now, and EXPENSIVE package deals to boot... who the hell wants *4* games with their system? And that's the LOW-END package... and what games would they replace them with if they don't make launch?

I'll be getting the Nintendo Revolution and my bro is getting the X-Box 360. As for the PS3, there's another forum I visit which had quite an interesting thread about the PS3. Here's the message, copy/pasted:

"I was listening to VG News Radio, (You can listen to it for free, just download iTunes 4.9 or better and search the podcasts) They had a nice article on the PS3... apparantly, even with Sony selling the system at a loss, the system will cost you a whopping amount of dinero, if you buy one game.

Here's how it'll work out, the PS3 is aimed to be costing users $399. Memory Cards are about $50, a game for $60... Then you add Sony's "moderatly non-essentail (SP)" sold separately, External HD of and esitmated $199.

Now we add tax...

And Bing bang Boom, your new system costs you $710 with one game. and no second controler..

Also, according to VGNews, sony has been quoted on saying the system will be "something you should have to work hard to earn" "

I don't plan to get the PS3, and not just because of the price.

hey guys i heard that the ps3 will rape your wallet because internet guys said it on the radio confirm/deny.

*punches*

please, leave this forum, system fanboy.

But honestly, i'll wait and see until it gets closer to release time. Most likely, i won't get any until the price drops somewhat.

The thought of an online Super Smash Brothers makes me so excited. . . I do not know very many games that are supposed to be for the revolution, but I hope we can find out soon. The games for the PS3 and XBOX360 (blech..I donot like that lineup at all!) do not interest me very much and I hope that the Revolution might have some inovative and fun titles for me. SSB Online would sell it for me, for sure, since I can expect great things from a system that would have that..but I would still want a little more. Right now, I have my heart set on the Rev. and it does not look like I will change soon. . . so that is what I voted ^^

Edit: Oh, hey, Valcion. . . I did not think he was fanboying, at all. I think he was just saying that he did not feel like spending that sort of money, and that does make alot of sence. He did not say SONY SUCKS BUY NINTENDO >( If you'd like to point out where he was fanboying, then please, feel free, but other than that..please, don't tell people to get out of my forum, I can do that myself. Thanks

Revolution *MIGHT* be the cheapest at this rate but who knows. PS3 rumors are just that and the Xbox has this illusion of being extremely overpriced thanks to package deals. (GameStop added an Omega package at around $2,000, which is just wrong.)

It's still expensive for a game system but the price will adjust itself over time. Maybe the first Xbox drop comes when either Nintendo or Sony release their entries.

There's also a weak rumor going around that Nintendo will unveil the Revolution (for real this time) at the Tokyo Game Show, but given their history of snubbing the TGS... Iwata's going to make a speech there but he could say anything really.

I honestly haven't heard much about any interesting games for any of the systems. The Revolution sounds cool due to the backwards compatability aspect, but anything that isn't N64 I can play on my softmodded xbox anyway. The pricerange for the 360 is way out of my league, and who knows what the PS3 is going to run? The only things I've seen for _any_ of the systems that I wouldn't mind picking up are various Super Robot War titles (for the 360 and PS3), Elder Scrolls Oblivion, and the Zelda game.

Otherwise though, who cares? Show me some games that're more interesting than First Person Shooter 139,541 before you expect me to shell out more than a couple of Franklins.

oh the Nintendo Revolution for sure. Even if it lacks in graphics (whihc I don't really mind, 3 x GC graphics are insane) the wi-fi outta the box feature is very nifty, and could possibly be used in conjunction with Nintendo DS.

Sorry if this was all stated earlier, I didn't read the thread much. Bad Ethics not to read.

I'm buying all 3.

Because I like playing video games.

Xbox 360 because of Perfect Dark Zero, if The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion is released on it, then I buy it for sure.

PS3 better not have crappy hardware that breaks easily (like my friends PS2, which destroyed one of his games, and broke for no reason). If there are some good games like the PSX/PS2 had, I'm buying for sure.

Nintendo Revolution, I'm gonna be buying because of backward compatibility (I have Gamecube games, but I don't actually own a Gamecube). This and I won't all three next-gen consoles

I have no idea. I would lean toward the PS3 if it were backward compatible with the rest of the Playstation library, but I have no real opinion until I see what games will be available. I don't really care about system features that can make or break the deal for other gamers (e.g. online play options - I've never cared about that, so I wouldn't mind buying a console with no or limited internets connectivity as long as I liked the games and interface).

What in God's name is in that package. That's off the chart for any package I've ever even heard of. I'm going with PS3 and Rev right now, and maybe the 360 if my roommates will chip in for the cost.
