That's because it's so much harder than PPL (which is what I started out with). So,

Buuuuullshit it's harder than PPL. PPL's level 10 CPU is 10x harder than the Lv. 7 that's in TA or PDP.

... and PDP is definitively harder than TA, as you mentioned, Hiryuu, now experienced.

I just made my second walkthrough in Very Hard without continue (I have proof screenshots with the bonus ending screen and the title screen message "Come, let's play together ... Together, under the clearest of the blue skies" - I think CLEAREST does mean "perfect" in that case), but beforehand I played PDP's VS Mode.

The panels clear out really fast while even in Very Hard mode in TA it seems rather slow
Also I touched the top in Stage 8 in PDP the first time - almost instantly I was killed (and stopped after that, as I already had to use one continue) - then moved to TA with its Very Hard Mode - and got through, it seemed a lot easier, although I'm still far away from being to finish that mode without continue every time .

By the by, you may want to look at the new Dr. Mario/PDP game that came out. After looking through the game I have determined that it's literally the best training available.

Hell, the CPU at maximum level score 22,000 on TT. Lv. 7 on TA doesn't come close most times. At maximum level it took me 4 minutes to kill the punk on Versus.

By the by, that first is 10'17"88 in Endless and the second one is a 2 minute Time Attack.

It is actually too easy. I'm one who never reached the 10.000 in TA or PDP yet (once I got close and missed it by 30 point - but it was with luck) and I'm usually between 5000 and 6000 in Time Trial only, but the new PDP/Dr. Mario for GBA is really nicely done - but I'll go with Hiryuu.

I got scores above 10.000 - unbelievable; but I would have to try it on "hard" yet


And surviving against a Lv.20 CPU on easy also can be done - but only I lose anyway, due its way loong time (last time it was about six minutes)

There's a demo mode that shows it doing x21s. Additionally I think I've seen upwards of a -39- combo.

Hiryuu - play on the highest speed in VS. mode against a lv 20 CPU - this is truly hard - it really seems to end in just that second when you rech the top - it is fun. I only have to find out how to change the tunes, since only one track is quite boring

I don't think there is a way, but I think that we should be getting a US version of it that's different soon enough.

The hardest level acts like Lv. 10 in TA. On that level, the moment you reach the top and run out of STOP, you're toast.

Gonna see if I can nuke X later today.
