It's not like I'm even offended by what you say, it's not like it's coming from someone who's actually played it or has experience hacking, so I could really care less what you say.

Anyway, thank you, that gives this thread the 200 reply threshold, so you've just helped it out rather than defame it . *Points and laughs*.

But thanks to all the serious people who have thus far given honest, constrcutive feedback .

Oh sweet, now I finally get my chance!

But I'd better stay on topic. I've been playing around with the code in YI a little, and I found the offset for the code. I haven't changed it, but I'm pretty sure I know where it is. If you were to disable it, it might help with the cheating factor. Or you could make it so you have to enter a different combination, then make a secret room (like Sluggy's fort) and hide a box there containing the code. I'll test the offset - BTW, I think it's xF33E9, because there is a TON of data there that is overworld data . .yet, the overworld data is in that area. But don't edit it until I confirm the code thing works Ill try it now

Or you can leave it the way it is

EDIT: Damn. It's a good thing it was a fresh ROM. The overworld looks like crap when I changed one value, and even putting it back didn't work. No more touchy hex editor for me

Well thanks for the heads on the code offset. Although, I said earlier, I really don't mind people using that mini-game cheat since it was something built into the game and isn't an add-on cheat such as GameGenie and whatnot. Thanks anyway, you seem to be finding some neat information. You definitely oughta use it to make your hack, Kamek's Revenge (there's your complimentary plug ), a lot more spiffier.

And thanks for the flipping of the bird there, it was well deserved .

Yeah, I tried. Like I said, the overworld goes poof when I do that. The only offsets I would REALLY like to find though, are the colour codes for the level select areas, and the button output for the code screen. If I can figure out those, then I would be golden (no pun intended )

I hope I can spiff up my hack . . it needs some spiffing

I wonder if Squash Monster the Creator of Eggvine made his YI hack. I know that FuSoYa made his hack while he created Lunar Magic.

Anyway If I grade this hack which is SMW2+ i'll give it a 90% regarding the diificulty of the game.

I enjoyed this hack even more every day.

From what I hear Squash isn't working on EggVine, so it's highly unlikely that he'd be making a YI hack of his own. If I'm not mistaken, he's working on an entirely different editor for another game at the moment.

90% huh? Not too bad.

Boy you really suprised me with that plant that shoots bubbles in World 3-5.

This hack calms me down whenever i'm not looking at the 2nd season of House last night. IT WAS HORRIBLE.

What's so surprising about the bubble plants? Sure it's unused but it's nothing incredible.

Plus, I'm glad to know my hack entertains you more than Emmy nominated dramas . I've watched that show "House" a couple times and I can't stand it because House is the biggest douche-bag on the planet.

Anyway, thanks for the huge and unnecessary bump . But still thanks for the support .

WOW!! That's what I think of your game so far. I've only played the first 2 levels, but I've seen some brilliant level design... it could even rival Nintendo's original YI level design.

Excellent work!! I know I'll be playing this for a while.

Thanks for that! I hope you enjoy the remainder of it. If you think the first two levels have good design, my later levels will get better because I wasn't as experienced with YI hacking at the beginning. But thanks for the compliments so far .

It could even rival Nintendo's original YI Design, what about the GBA Verison. There are 6 secret levels that they designed in the GBA.

Well the only difference between those two versions is that the GBA had 6 levels that didn't appear in the original. That and other little features, but none other that had to do with additional levels. Anyway, you be the judge of what's better .

I was wondering. Is there a certain theme for extra stage 6?

Well not so much. It's called "Yoshi's Island Forever" because it's just as a nice little way to end the hack. Plus, it has a bunch of themes in it to show the variety of Yoshi's Island, so yeah.

It doesn't work for me. I use "Super Mario World 2 - Yoshi's Island (U) (M3) (V1.0) [!].smc". Do I have to expand the rom? If yes, expand to what size?

And where can I get Eggvine? ^^

Is there a difference? It's US and Version 1.0. The name doesn't matter...

Yes there is a difference, I believe that the M3 has an intro of some sort or maybe no header. Just get a real version it is not hard to find.

I might know the difference. But if you talking about version 1.0 and 1.1 for the US of YI the only thing I know is the text from the GBA version. I do not know what other differences are here.

It has to be version 1.0 (U). No other symbols in there besides those.
