This may have been posted somewhere else, but I didn't see it. It's not in the announcements either.

So, why take the v1.A3 download down ?

Is it because a major problem has been found in it, or because the guys in power here got tired of people asking stupid questions about it or something ?

I'm asking because I still have it on my computer, and was planning to install it somewhere... But maybe I'd better install v1.A2 instead ? Thanks.

I asked ||bass and his answer was:
"It's down because we're starting development on 2.0 and all the 1.anything versions are worthless at this point."

Heh, thanks for the answer... However I still can't make any sense of this. Leaving v1.A2 but removing v1.A3...

Anyway, still good to hear work on v2.0 is starting to get serious.

Actually, I like A2 better then A3, A3 has more bugs, the whole new ppanel in it doesn't even work and the sql only runs on some servers, I had to recode the whole thing when I set up my friends board with it.

... What the ? I thought you wrote that all with Caps locked, but after having hit the reply button, I see you wrote it normally... Does your layout do that ?
No matter what, that sucks.

Anyway... The admin panel doesn't work for me with A2 (path problem apparently). Clicking an IP also gives me an error... And I couldn't edit members either before, but someone gave me a fix.

Only problem I've seen with 1.A3 was $root being a bitch, and that was because a certain person wouldn't do what was asked to do (Xeo should know what I'm talking about).

But yeah, 1.A3 seems less stable than 1.A2.

But some boards (Ice Board) use 1.A3 and it works perfectly.

Heh, sorry, old layout.

Anyways, the admin panel usually doesn't work unless its in Interet Explorer. To fix it to make it work in all browsers, in layout.php change the admin link from /admin to /admin/index.php. I had the same problems at my board.

LOL, yep I sure had fun with those $root exploits inside a few files. Bass doesnt seem to want me to help him at all though... I know alot of PHP. That's why i've found various SQL injection and include vulns in Acmlm Board.

I've heard stories about what you can do Xeon.
It's good your a white hat hacker. *phew*

I'm a little unsure why it's even needed to take down the 1.A3 download personally, sure maybe it's kind of "pointless", but as everyone says the downloads are "As is". Because from what ||bass himself and others have told me, there are quite a few bug fixes in 1.A3 compared to 1.A2.

I don't know, even if it's not stable ... eh, oh well? I mean DarkSlaya has seen my board, all of the /admin, directory problems have gone to shit (thanks to $root) but I'm still glad to have 1.A3 for the better security.

Oh well, good to see production on 2.0 has started.
