| The ball of light floated just above the mage, giving him a fairly large shadow. Rahl whipped the dagger at the center of the shadow, directly under the mage, while uttering, "Shadow Snap." OOC: Shadow Snap is a spell that prevents the movement of a person's shadow. It activates if a dagger is thrown into a person's shadow. If that person's shadow is removed, through the use of a light spell or something along these lines, the person regains movement ability. The spell will also wear off after a couple minutes. | "The entire basis of battle is to defeat one's opponents as quick as possible. The faster a battle, the less time an opponent has to figure out the weaknesses to your fighting style." Rahl placed a foot on the Wizard's chest and lined up a coup de grace to his throat. "A person can do the most damage when their opponent's guard is down. If their guard happens to be down because of injury or lack of intelligence, so be it." He finished his final attack to the wizard. OOC: Coup de grace = mercy hit. When used in battle, it means an attack done to a wounded character with the intent of killing them as quick as possible, such as slitting their neck or stabbing their heart through gaps in their armour. |
