I add Kega Fusion plugin system to my derived VBA172, now my computer of P4-2.53 G can run F-ZERO using hq2x filter with 115% CPU speed (no throttle, skip 0, win size x 3, hq2x).

The binary can be download from VBA's forum:

No need for it here (64 bit AMD 3200+, Radeon X800 Pro with 256MB) but I can see how this should help people with lower spec machines.

Screws up on my comp. For some reason, it goes to 115% all the time when I'm trying to play F-ZERO MV. Like it's been programmed to always play at 115% by making it faster. Makes the sound go nuts.

Only a PIII 1.0GHz here.

Have you turned on "auto skip frame" option ?

Default settings are "no throttle", "auto skip frame off", "skip 0" to let VBA ran as fast as possible.

I have rewrote the code for "auto skipe frame" option. When this option turn on, VBA will try to keep 100% CPU speed at 0 skip, 60 FPS.

Auto Frame Skip is on and skip was set to 0. It still has issues. In playing Bianca Circuit it does worse than VBA CE does; 70% as opposed to 77%. Title screen has issues keeping it together as well, so the sound gets messy every second or so.

And you must like Kim Possible a lot.

After fix some bugs, add some new features and compiled with latest Intel C++ compiler 9.0. My modified version of VBA 1.72 has some improvement in quality and performance.

Anyone is interested can download source code and binary from
