| "Pray? Sort of... but the difference is I have a direct communication available with Kyr'Shei, that is to say he speaks back. Sometimes, if there's people nearby, I teach them a little about Oracles and stuff. That one experience in Indigo City..." She starts talking fast and excitedly, "This guy and I battled, and this crowd started to gather, and they found out I was an Oracle, and they were all cheering me on, and it was like 'Wow! I'm popular!'" Normal speed again. "So... since then I figured it wouldn't hurt to educate a few people. Some places... well, a lot of places actually... just have such wrong ideas about us!" The temple is visible now... and Yiusi stops walking and gasps in sheer shock. It's not a temple-- it's a massive pile of caved-in rubble. The whole thing is destroyed. Not on fire or anything, just crumbled entirely. It looks like it caved in from the inside or something. Funny thing is that none of the citizens have noticed yet. Yiusi stares in disbelief... and after a long pause, she covers her eyes and cries and cries, heavily grieved. Things are less than perfect at Sandsalot tonight! |

| Janus: "Oh... no..." His hunger temporarily forgotten, Janus dropped Satchel to the ground without even the slightest realization. He simply stared in awe at the destroyed temple, and swallowed. His eyes strayed over to Yiusi, who had already burst into tears. He'd seen things like this before... He knew how to keep his cool. He stepped in front of Yiusi and put a hand gently on her shoulder. "Yiusi... Yiusi, come on... Calm down, it's ok." He moved in a bit closer, and soon was holding her in his arms, letting her cry on him and trying as best he could to empathize. He could feel her tears soaking into his shirt, and stood still, letting her cry and trying to comfort her. Get the stress out now, he thought. He could feel her body shudder as she heaved sob after sob into him. Don't look at the temple. Her cries were muffled as he held her close to him in an attempt to give her a sense of security in crisis. Don't look at the temple. Janus could feel her hands gripping his clothes tightly, shaking in utter devastation and frustration. Don't look at the temple. It was almost too much for him to bear. Just let her get it out, he thought. Janus had to keep telling himself to not stare at the destruction. Just concentrate on Yiusi right now, he thought. This was her moment to grieve... But... Who would want to destroy an Oracle shrine? He couldn't help but wonder as he held Yiusi... "Shh, calm down. We're gonna find out what happened, alright? There's got to be some kind of reason for this. We're gonna find out what happened. Just try to relax, I'm here with you." He began rocking back and forth with her in his arms. Why...? Why didn't anyone notice that the building was annihilated? Did the townspeople have something to do with it? And furthermore, why was he even comforting her? Why did HE care...? A friend in need was a friend, indeed... |

| After what seems like a long time, Yiusi stops crying, her face still red. "Thank you..." She squeezes him. "Thank you..." The words are still pained, but she is sincere, no doubt. The Yiusi Ball speaks to Yiusi's mind. "Yiusi, this angers me. I now know why I felt the need to go to Pentalipse... Whoever did this probably went there next." "Wait..." she thinks back. "Isn't there an Oracle temple in Pentalipse, too?" "...Oh shoot... Yeah. I feel it. I can't tell if it's gone or not, though..." Still holding Janus, she whispers, "He's after the one in Pentalipse." |

| Janus: "Who, Yiusi? Who's after the one in Pentalipse? Come on..." He can feel her cries softening in his arms, it looks like she's nearly calm again. That was a clue, the one in Pentalipse. They were on their way there, and this only meant that they had to get there that much faster. Janus backs away a bit, fearing he may be getting TOO close for comfort. He looks Yiusi in the eyes and challenges her to focus her mind. "Do you know how this might have happened?" |

| She straightens out and looks Janus in the eyes... "No. I have never felt a spiteful terrorist act of this magnitude before. And these humans on this planet... They have to go through some of this stuff on a day-to-day basis..." Yiusi begins walking towards the town area again, assuming Janus follows her. "I do not like the idea of revenge... no matter what the circumstance... But I will not allow somebody to travel the continent and play Search and Destroy with Kyr'Shei's holy grounds. Janus... I don't really want to force you into going on some wild goosechase with me, but I'm on my way to Pentalipse no matter what. You coming with me?" She seems hopeful but almost sure of the answer. Meanwhile, from the other side of the ruined Temple comes the Priest, and his jaw drops to the ground when he sees the scene... but he has nothing to do with Yiusi and Janus at this point... |

| Janus: "Yiusi..." He furrowed his brow. Yeah, for the time being Psi energy was flowing through his body and he understood the plight that she was going through... But... "Yiusi, I'm not sure if I can or not. I know the Oracles exist, and I know Psi Warriors exist, and the Ethereal Dimension exists. I suppose if I ever do die, I'll end up in the Ethereal Dimension, it's where I chose to go when I made a pact with Death himself a long time ago... ...But I'm allying myself to a particular belief by helping you. I'm causing ripples in the space/time continuum. Keep in mind, if I do travel with you, then we WILL face dangers that you and I both may never fully understand. A power struggle that's happening behind the hearts and minds of mortals is going on even as we speak. By helping you, even for a short period of time, I'll be joining it, and that will most definitely attract some attention. I swear, I'll protect us both if it gets to us during that time, but I can't possibly ask you to count on me when I can't even count on myself in a situation like this. Think, Yiusi. Think long, and think hard about what you're asking." He snapped his fingers, and a small portal opened in front of him. Inside it, a grey stormcloud could be seen, nothing more. It was a glimpse into the Void, into the very innards of space and time. It was here that the Prime Material Plane, the Ethereal Dimension, the Pocket Dimension, the Dark Zones, and all points in between were connected... "Do you see this? It represents a turning point in history. It's clouded right now, because the outcome is entirely dependent on whether or not you are serious in asking for my help. I hate to sound arrogant, but even the smallest change in a timeline can alter it drastically, changing so many outcomes that it becomes near-mind boggling to comprehend. This is one of those changes. By allying together we'll be entering a war, and our destinies will become intertwined. After this is over, no matter what, you WILL see me again, and you may not like the circumstances of our next meeting. I can't show you the future; I don't quite know it myself. But the outcome... It may be light, or it may be dark. Choose wisely, with the mind of one who does not know which decision will lead to which." He closed the portal. Janus didn't want to see what would happen if he and Yiusi were to travel together. He was afraid of it. And he refused to let destiny tie him down... "But let it be known that if you are serious..." His heart began to beat a little faster. They had stepped out of the minor leagues and into the big leagues now. Why, thought Janus, did all of his friendships have to be borne from extreme circumstances? "...That I would be more than happy to." |

| "Well..." There's a long pause, in which Yiusi does seem to be considering her options thoughtfully. Then... "What you say about the timeline reminds me, actually, about the most important thing I was ever taught. See, before I was mortal, I was given a Destiny with no option of defying it. But I did anyway... so I was sentenced to live mortally for one lifetime. I learned that it is up to us to choose our own destinies, and, like how you mentioned, there IS no one definite timeline. "Finding who did this is not an option for me... I must go. But Janus..." She looks him in the eye with a slight twinkle. "I would love to do it alongside you. An alliance of friends is always an advantage compared to one who travels alone." OOC: I would guess, because of The Dawn, that Yiusi and Janus travelling is inevitable. |

| OOC: Correct. But now we get to see what unfolds. Janus furrowed his brow. He was happy. He knew he was happy, he could feel his heart soaring, and there was a sense of elation he had never felt before... ...But he didn't want her to get hurt. Axel... Would he see Yiusi as a weakness to be exploited? Schwa would need to know about this. Especially the strange behavior of Janus' body when it was struck with the Royal Ball. Janus suspected it was time for him to start paying them more visits... When this was over, before he went back to Grey, Janus knew he'd have to go ask Sensae what was up. He grinned at Yiusi. Janus: "Heh. Alright, then. Just remember... There may be ether running through me right now, but that doesn't make me a Psi Warrior. Don't expect me to act like one, either." The past, present, and future began to intertwine... Two separate timelines were formed into one, and the network continued to grow. How curious, Janus thought as he envisioned the lines binding themselves together, that time is so malleable, and yet so rigid still. Here, it almost seems as though this was destined to happen, but time would have gone on if she had said no anyway... But still, it didn't change the overall timeline. Perhaps it really WAS meant to happen? Which could mean other things... Things Janus didn't want to think about at the time. The decision had been made. Now all that was left was to see whether the outcome would be light or dark. It was curious, a bit like playing a game. Nobody ever wanted the dark outcome. Everyone always sought their own light. He continued his ponderings until he realized a cute young lady was still standing in front of him and hadn't left yet out of alienation. That must've meant he had done something right. "Oh, erm... Now... Since we're not traveling alone anymore, where exactly are we traveling? Pentalipse, you said, right? So how do we get there? I'm guessing the Speedway doesn't reach that far, and it doesn't look like there's an airport for miles around, despite this being a high-traffic city..." |

| "If the Speedway leads here, it'll lead to Pentalipse," Yiusi explains. "Pentalipse has a higher population than Sandsalot, and the Speedway goes to all cities above a certain population on this continent. It should be no problem going to-- ...?" She feels the Yiusi Ball trying to speak to her, and listens. "The Speedway is out. Something's telling me." "Eesh. Okay, well... Guardian says Stardust Speedway isn't a good idea. I don't know why, but it's never wrong about these things... What do you think?" |

| Janus: "I think..... the feddies are probably guarding the Speedway, hunting for terrorists now that I've managed to take down a pair of their helicopter units." He looked all around... The desert wasn't going to be a fun trek, even with his supply of Yggdrassilberries at his beck and call. Flying would be a bad idea, especially if they were going to follow the Speedway, for the same reason why TAKING the Speedway was a bad idea. But if they couldn't find any kind of transportation soon, it looked like the date was going to be over a little bit faster than he had expected. "As for getting to Pentalipse, it's either walking, or finding some kind of alternate form of transit. A bus, maybe? Or a train? Kruks? I haven't ridden a kruk in years, though. I don't want to risk flying on Satchel, either. The police will be hunting the skies at this point, so I think we're going to have to remain solely earthbound for a while." |

| "....Let me try something." Yiusi brings her hands together for a moment, focusing. Pretty soon a green, shimmering portal appears behind her. "There we go! It'll only be a small wait before someone comes to help. ...Oh yeah, two allies would be nice, one for you and one for me..." She opens a second green portal in the same fashion, and it appears next to the first one. As they wait, she tells Janus about her ability. "That's been my only power before I got the Yiusi Ball. I had that ability ever since I was created... It comes in handy on occasions." However, in the background, some people are noticing the portals, and the news is very quickly spreading throughout the whole town that some visitor has some special powers... |

| Janus: "Aw, man... I really wanted to ride a Kruk, too... They're such cool animals, and so fast!" He examined the portal. It was insane, it led directly to one of the Outer Planes! Yiusi may not know it, but her ability to summon allies was a LOT more powerful than she could imagine... And a lot more dangerous for Janus, too. With the ethereal signature he was giving off, chances are he'd attract the attention of the wrong people at the exact wrong time. A portal to the outside, while he was acting as a declared ally? That'd spell trouble someday. But for the time being, it was a neat novelty. So long as it didn't STAY open, he guessed that it'd remain harmless. "Hm, I can open portals, too... But not like these. Mine only cross time, space, and occasionally dimensions... But never extraplanar. I'm impressed. Why didn't you do this before?" |

| "These portals can span to any point at any place, any dimmension, any plane of existance and occasionally any timeline. That's also how I travel quickly from place to place... but I can only go to places I've been to before, otherwise we would already be in Pentalipse. These green ones, though, stretch much farther than that which could possibly be reached by most mortals, and they also count as one-way passages... A being from an alternate dimmension, any one at random, is studied by the energy of this portal and replicated as a summoned creature... so we'll never know what we get. The Green Portal is an advanced portal; what determines how advanced a portal is is what kinds of dimmensions it targets. These ones are the second strongest, so they should take a while to finish..." Things heat up quickly from this point on. By now a crowd of onlookers has gathered around Yiusi and Janus, and at this specific moment they may not want to attract this kind of attention. Some of the characters in the back of the crowd are pointing at Yiusi and shouting a word in their native language over and over... Yiusi notices everyone. "Calm down, guys! *whispering to Janus* Oops, sorry I got us into this..." The portals begin to get brighter... Whatever's about to come out is almost ready. |

| Janus: "Hrm... You DO realize that if what comes out of there is some kind of horrifying creature, these people are going to run screaming, and then we really WILL have to find some Kruks, right?" The people went from looking at them suspiciously to outright gawking, forming a circle at the ever-swirling portal. More and more of the native language could be heard, as the tension in the crowd rose to a boil. A person was a smart, intelligent individual. People were dumb, panicky, stupid animals and Janus knew that. It all rested on Yiusi now. |

| "Wait a sec... Here's the first one..." Yiusi clutches her hands in hope. BAM! A flash of green electrical energy jumps out of the first portal, and many of the crowd members jump back in alarm. The lime-green electricity gathers in one spot right in front of Yiusi, swirls together and forms itself into the shape of some small, 4-legged beast... smaller than Yiusi; about the size of a Great Dane maybe... It's all the same color, though, and hard to make out... but then it's electric form hardens into a solid mass! The solid form is grey-and-rust colored, but shines like metal, has the appearance of a small bear on 4 legs, but no fur, ears that look like curved backward spikes, an oval-like snout, a long tail that looks like 3 wavy metal chords, and glowing, green, glossy eyes. It stares at Yiusi in a very challenging way, almost like it would attack her at any second... but it suddenly bows intelligently to Yiusi and lets out a soft cry of approval. Almost immediately after that, another creature comes out of the second portal... He looks like a swordfighter with huge, white-gloved hands, holding a curved, pirate-like blade, an oval-shaped body with orange armor over the entire thing and a peach face-mask that covers all of his face except a wide slit for his eyes. He wears large boots, too. But the most important thing is... He has NO arms, legs, or neck; the body parts hover close to each-other as if connected, but they're apparently not, or at least physically! Immediately the other-dimmensional swordfighter kneels in front of Yiusi. Both portals close after a long pause after the summoned creatures appear. The whole crowd is now staring in awe at Yiusi, hopefully even. She stares back for a moment, then turns to the summons and states formally, "Rijju, or Plasma Elemental, from Sector Q of the Zeta Dimmension... and SP-Criish, a hero in a mountain village from Rayman's universe." The two summons look very happy as Yiusi says those things. As for the onlookers, there is a long pause, then they all throw themselves to the ground in a bow, chanting, "Oracle! Oracle! Oracle!" "You may rise, friends," Yiusi says to the summons, the crowd still chanting. They do so. They act like they even know her or something. Yiusi turns to Janus. "How was that?" |

| Janus: "A mutant Plasma Wisp and a Durahan. I'll hand it to you, I'm impressed. Especially at the level of respect they have for you in comparison to how much power they have. But how's that going to help us get across the desert? I..." He suddenly notices that everyone around him is on the ground, bowing and cheering for Yiusi. Looks like he's been shown up. "Ah. Well, then. I guess this'll do. But still, the feds from the other city... They're gonna catch up to us eventually, we can't waste time with theatrics. I hope you've come up with something outside of this, milady." |

| "Yes... We do need a way across the desert. Les'see... It doesn't look like we could all fit on Rijju, but one of us can. But... Shoot, now we also need a way for Criish to travel with us. Dang... Well, summoning through portals is a double-edged sword, because it may help us greatly or hinder us depending on the situation... We're back at square one, it looks like." Suddenly, SP-Criish nods once and speaks. He has the smooth voice of a trained knight. "Princess Yiusi, if I may... I have an alternate means of transportation. You may use it." "Oh yes, I forgot. You can transform." She smiles. By now, either she fully knows him or is showing off to Janus. "Please, show us!" All of Criish's body parts, except the main body, suddenly break up into glossy multicolored spheres, as the egg-shaped body melts into a different shape... The spheres soon rejoin the body as different objects, and in 5 seconds' time, Criish has fully transformed into a sled-like vehicle with smooth blades on the bottom and two propellers. It looks like it would travel better on water than the ground, but he and Yiusi both seem to know what he's doing... "This morph is perfect for the sand," she explains. "It's got unlimited fuel, but the morph does last a limited time, so we should be on our way as soon as possible. Take your pick-- this or Rijju," motioning to the Plasma Elemental in it's solid form. The crowd has stopped chanting by now, and are still on the ground, now looking up at Yiusi. Too bad they speak different languages from her... |

| Janus: "Hm, I'd feel much more comfortable riding on top of a being made of pure plasma than inside of a being that can turn himself into a car... Rijju, was it? Janus." He looks the beast over, it seems deadly enough... If this was what Yiusi could do without even trying, he was actually kinda scared at this point. Not the ideal circumstances for an evening out with a lady-friend, you see. But, for the time being, Janus knew they'd have to cope. Some things, like defending the honor of an established higher power, were just slightly more important. "I'd shake your hand, but... Well, it doesn't look like that'd be too safe. Now, how do I ride?" |

| Rijju bows his head in approval of Janus, but still looks a little wary. "You've rode a horse before, I presume," Yiusi tells Janus. "It shouldn't be a problem riding on its back. Don't worry, Rijju has a high sense of respect and loyalty for his allies and wouldn't shock you, even on accident." Yiusi steps on to Criish's morph. The sled is only half the size of a car, so if she sat down the sand would get in her eyes while riding. Instead, she kneels on the vehicle. The crowd parts for Yiusi and Janus to make their exit. "Wow!" Yiusi exclaims suddenly, "I honestly never thought this evening would end up like this! Isn't it strange and beautiful how the course of one's life can change alongside another's?" |

| Allowing for another sequence of revealing banter, Janus plays dumb at her question, and answers... Janus: "The entire course of one's life? How do you figure on that?" He reaches out to touch Rijju and, upon realizing that it will not shock him on contact, swings himself into a bareback riding position. It looks like it's about time for takeoff. "I'm just doing what I do best: Trying to feel out what's right and wrong, and turning what's wrong into what I think is right." There's a slight twinkle in his eye as he grins at the prospect. "I guess there is a certain beauty to it..." |
