Time for me to post some bad news. Well today my first ferret I ever got past away. He was about six or seven years old seeing as we don't officially know seeing as he was given to us. Me and my mom knew it was only a matter of time and today we knew we were going to loose him. As he wouldn't eat or drink anything earlier today. I don't have a picture on the comp to post of him. We got him about Halloween of 2000.

Ferrets can live up to eight years but some have lived longer than that from what I've read.

I have two ferrets left. I would like to get another one to keep it at three but I know my mom wouldn't let me though.

It's a shame to lose a pet or anything you could get attached to. Keep your other two ferrets safe and well.

We've lost two pets now, due to death. First was a grey rabbit, aptly named "Cloudy" by my Mom, then a bird named "Chippy" by me.

I know an old friend of mine had a pet ferret that I only saw once or twice, and, according to him, if I were to stick my hand in the cage, I'd get my finger taken off. Same thing applied for trying to touch it while it was out of it's cage, and so on

I haven't heard from him (my friend, not the ferret) in quite a few years now, so I can only assume his pet's died. It's definitely unfortunate when things like that happen, but at the same time, sadly unavoidable.

As Cruel Justice said, it is a shame when something you're attached to dies, but do work at keeping your other two ferrets safe With a little luck and enough care, maybe one of the ferrets you have right now will live longer than they normally do

Sorry to hear that. Aww poor little dude.
My first cat died a few years ago. She was about 17 years old. The few days before she was put down, I couldn't help but notice how close she was to me. She literally, never left my side for that whole time. Everywhere I'd go, she would follow. Except for the bathroom of course .
I think animals can sense death and perhaps, prepare for it.

Yeah animals can sence death seeing as our cat Jerry went into my bro's room all the time while we brought in the other cage we have that Taz came with and put Bandit in. Seeing as my mom didn't think it would be good to let him pass in the big cage with the other two in it. Jerry hardly ever goes into my bro's room but on monday he did go in and out of there a lot since the smaller cage was brought in for Bandit. So now the bigger cage seems empty without him even though the other two are in it.

Finally scanned a pic of Bandit. Here he is sleeping just earlier this year.
