Hey, it's me again, and now I'm showin' off some screenies of my second world PLUS, I took your guys idea, and added my first level with ExGFX - which I've sure everyone will remember from a fan-favouite coughsupermariokartcoughcoughcough.
*ahem* so anyway, here is world 2 of my hack.

2-1: Forest Chaos

"Hidden platforms makes this level a doozy"

"You need to find the spring to continue."

"To get that P-Switch, you need to throw a shell."

"Oh no! Prison! Once you escape you win - but can you escape??"

2-2: Central Boggly
(note: there are MANY ways to go in this level - so I threw in a bit of everything)

"Two from the ghost house section"

One from the switch palace section - you need Yoshi to advance.

"Two from the auto-scrolling-shell-kicking-bullet-bill mania section"

"And three from the castle section. The last one is my personal favourite - you gotta get to the top with the key, but you need to use the thwomps . . . hmm . . ."

And now, my first level with ExGFX . .
2-3 - Rainbow Road.

(note: PaD's Tetris graphics) Look at all the pretty colours, as you weave your way through an endless maze of torture. And I even added the Rainbow Road music from SMK - my secret though just kidding - wish I could though.

Anyway, here they are. I know they don't show much action, but it's impossible to get good action shots in this world - or else I'd be fumbling to survive and pressing Print Screen at the same time. Anyway, questions or comments please

To get good action shots, set a key to take pictures in ZSNES (if you use ZSNES). They take at a good size, and they are .png.

Comments:

1. Hidden platforms may be a bad idea. I sense alot of savestating. Just don't make any platforms completely hidden.

2. Why use the spring when you can just jump on that green turtle when he passes thru the wall

Thanks Kei. Also, I noticed where you kick the shell to get the P Switch, that you can just get the shell from the turtle below. I have fixed what you said, the pipe problems, and will work on switch palace. Do you like the Rainbow Road though?

EDIT: Don't worry, most of the platforms are completely noticable, some you can only see a bit of though - that part isn't EXTREMELY tough - just a bit

I see that you've finished Boogly Woods. I'm ready to test out your hack anytime you like SoNotNormal.

Exceeded bandwidth. Get on over to Imageshack and upload those images to a *REAL* site, instead of Geoshitties.

Sorry. I'll do that soon. And I'm not quite finished Boggly Woods yet, sorry. Will be done within the next week or two I hope.

Ya, the rainbow road is awesome. A space type BG would really fit I think. I was just saying that I would go insane assembling all those different types of blocks. Each 16x16 square looks like it's different (based on the 8x8 square color).

How many different ones did you use in that level?

What's wrong with Geocities besides a crappy bandwidth? You do bring a go point however not to put too many pictures on that site because it'll consume the bandwidth. One more thing SoNotNormal, why don't you go to both Imageshack like asdf said and photobucket if your planning to release a lot of screenshots.

Finally. The screens are showing...again. They're huge though. Looks pretty nice so far. Good work. The Tetris part I admit, hurted my eyes a bit though..

A lot. The set came with a few, but I had to mix, flip, and assemble the rest. Only used 1 page of ExGFX though. I think I'll try to make a space BG, or create my own for it. Thanks a lot for the advice.

And I'll head over to Imageshack

For a space background, You could just rip stuff out of metroid 3, then using ExGfx you could set the backrond on the Super Mario World Rom. just a sugestion

Maybe - but there is already a space BG in the game, but doesn't look like it wants to work with that level - oh well, I'll figure something out to make it look nice.

As long as the Tetris stuff and the space BG don't use the same ExGFX slot, it should work. You also need to set it to use that BG in the bypass ExGFX dialog. Then just assemble and palette it in the tetris level. Easy.

No, I'm not using ExGFX for my background. Remember in the bonus areas when Yoshi gets wings in a certain level? And Vanilla Dome 4? That is the space BG I mean - but everytime I put it in my level, it says to use it correctly, make sure BG = 0C is loaded or whatever. As soon as I do that, the BG works, but the Tetris FG goes garbled. Dunno how to fix that - so I'll prolly have to find the cloest resemblance to a space BG in the ExGFX workshop.
