| For those of you who loved Chrono Trigger for Super Nintendo, you may be interested in a Petition that a friend of mine has started. He has talked with Square-Enix already, and has informed them about it. If your not interested, than fine, just don't make a big fuss about this petition. Hmm..remake? That'd be interesting to see but I don't know if it'd happen. You never know, of course. With remakes, I'm not sure about. It is better with the classics to leave as is since you get all what was put across to make it a classic. Then again, its good to see what can be brought to the table with recent technology. I need to play the original first though  . |

| Haha I don't know if you know this guys, but there was a company who already tried to make a remake of Chrono Trigger a few years back. They called it Chrono Trigger: Revolution. Square-enix made them stop halfway though. I don't think Square-Enix wants to remake a classic like that. It would be neat but it just wont be as good. It won't feel the same. Every RPG I've played has had a certain feel to it for me. I don't know how to explain it. Maybe some of you know what I mean. As much as I would love to see a remake of it, I don't think Square-Enix wants to... (Hmmm Weird. This posted itself as a new thread when i tried to reply. Why the hell would Square Enix let him remake it? This breaks a crapload of copyright laws. Petition or no petition, Square Enix is not legally obligated to allow this sort of shit to happen. In fact, I can fully understand why they wouldn't let him do it in the first place. I'm sorry, I would sign this petition if I thought there was a chance in hell for it to be granted, but I know that there's no chance in hell that this will be granted. If anything, the guy trying to get it done will be penalized.  This aside, a 3D remake would have been pretty cool. If only SE didnt find out about it... EDIT: oh, this isn't about the company that tried to remake it already? Well, um, yea... Petitions for game requests to major companies work approximately 0% of the time. Sorry, folks. EDIT2: oh, putting SD3 in America is on there too?  Okie, I'll sign. | Apparently we've scrapped the idea of the Secret of Mana translation import, lack of support on that, however, the guy my friend talked to from Square-Enix said that if we could somehow get enough signatures of people who would buy the game, and they view that as enough to give them good sales, than they'd take good consideration into working on such a project. We'd probably need somewhere around 100,000 Signatures I'm sure, but overtime, that might be a possibility considering how determined the guy who started this petition is. Only takes a few minutes to sign the petition, so not like it's a big commitment. ALSO, we have hired a web developer to make us a site regaurding the petition, check it out here http://vizzed.com/ctremake/ (still under-construction) |
