This shall be my first official graphic rip:
I ripped & edited tiles from Tetris & DrMario to make up a Tetris tileset for SMW.
IMO, it looks pretty good:

8x8 Tiles:

16x16:

ZIP File containing Map16 bins, TPL and ExGFX bin file:
http://rtb.strategy-x.com/tetris-i-pad.zip

If it's worth at all, it would be nice if somebody added this to the ExGFX Workshop
Hope people like it...

Not bad. Not bad at all. I look forward to stealing this idea and using it for my own twisted ends.

I like everything except the letters them selves. I mean, they look great and all, but theres just something about non square things in a tetris game that seems odd.

The rest looks nice tho. I like the gray metal block type things the best for some reason.

Heh, those look good, and the TETRIS letters are good too. I know they look wierd a bit, but they are also like that in my TETRIS GB game. Good job, that looks great.

Thanks very much
Glad people like it.

Can some Admin call this "My Tilesets", so I don't have to open a hundred threads.

Did some more work, no release files yet, just to show:

Ripped from Zool, what do you think?

Not bad, not bad. The bush is a little weird since it's obviously made up of flipped tiles and you should probably change that, but still good.

This Zool tileset reminds me of the one from James Pond III. You should definately play that game. It rules.

Though, that green yellow isnt agreeing with me for some reason. Though, it is a rip, right?

I liked the ground part, but now I'm hungry. And the Tetris Blocks are great too.

Holy crap! How many ExGFX files does that food set use? It looks great but I'd imagine it uses alot of tiles. I want to see more rips!

There are apples in the tileset, too, but they don't fit in anymore
Sorry for making ya all hungry
I'll be thinking about a nice background graphic

The X-flipped bush is the same like in Zool. Was pretty good for me, as it wouldn't fit otherwise. The banana takes very much space, but I HAD to include it
Maybe I'll make some small bush graphics for the ground, to add detail.
Again, glad people like it.

And thanks for the title change!

EDIT:
I probably won't find time to add stuff to that tileset as I leave for a week tomorrow, but anybody who'd like to do that is welcome

Filenames are ready for the ExGFXWorkshop, would be cool to see them uploaded there

Nice, the Tetris and the bananas are awesome. I'm trying to make a level with food also. I'm calling it Taco Island! Anyway, you should PM Darth Coby so that he can upload you tilesets to the ExGFX Workship if you haven't already.

Awesome rips man, especially the one from Zool. I never played that game, but the way you have used those graphics in your hack looks great. It stands out a lot and I will definitely want to check out some levels in action with the graphics included. Keep up the good work!

Actualy those look like the graphics from the 8Bit game gear version of zool rather then the 16Bit snes or 16Bit genesis version.

But good none the less.

Hmmmm, graphics from a puzzle game used in a platform game, thats a first for me.

Great stuff so far.

I wanted to use Tetris Attack graphics, but they're 8BPP and I didn't really feel like downscaling them.

If anybody'd tell me how to import tracks (like SPC files) from other SNES games to SMW... I'd love to do that!
