Move that crappy header! Anyway, it would be nice, but haven't they already came out with a game for most of the All-star games? You know, SMA1, SMA2, SMA4. Oh, and disable that mult-vote.

You know, I have half a mind to just delete this thread altogether... Reason being that this type of question is stupid. You've already got most of the stuff on that system, with bonuses. At this point, Nintendo has very little to gain from doing a rerelease that has LESS stuff on it.

But on the other hand... Nintendo ported Metroid to the GBA when Metroid Zero Mission was out, and that game had it in it, and people bought it despite this, so... I don't know.

*Was one of those who bought Metroid on GBA despite the availability of Zero Mission*

Anyway, on one hand, yeah, you have anywhere from half to 3 fifths of All-Stars already available on GBA (Depending on if we're talking just All-Stars or the All-Stars + SMW game that showed up later on), but most of the "bonuses" for those games are just Mario Bros already packed in, aren't they?

No, there shouldn't be unless Nintendo plans to put even more stuff in the games. SMB2/SMA has the Yoshi Challenge where you find some eggs in Sub-Space. SMW/SMA2 only new features is a checklist for all the levels that helps you get 100% and Luigi jumps like he does in SMB2. Finally, SMB3/SMA4 lets you play your favorite levels all over again after you beat every single level of the game. That and the e-world but I don't know too many people with e-readers and I never got to chance to play any of the levels in the e-world so I have nothing to say about that. They already rereleased SMB1/SMB:TLL on the Gameboy Color but they were only 8-bit but it already has some cool extras like the challenge mode. One more thing I forgot, it's annoying that they put Mario Bros. arcade game in every SMA game and in some other games. That game made too many appearances even when you least expect it, for example Mario Bros. appeared in Mario & Luigi: SS.
They should just stop putting that in every Mario game.

There's basically no need to make All-Stars for GBA because most of the games would have been re-released for the fourth or fifth time again. That's my opinion.

The reason they put Mario Bros in to everything is so that you can play Mario Bros against people who don't have the same game. For instance, If one of you has Superstar Saga and another has Super Mario Advance 3, you can link up to play Mario Bros. There was enough room on the cartridges, and they didn't specifically have anything to lose from it, so.

If they ever release a SMAS on GBA, let it have all the arcade games ( But SNES looking) with Mario. Dr. Mario. Plus 80 extra level's on each game with E-reader. Anything's possible with Nintendo. I remember a game I used to have that had all these games that looked like could be added to the games. It had Boxing, Fire, a lot more....I'm just lazy to dig for it and type it in.........Anyone remember what it's called? You know, they could make SMRPG the next SMA5.

It'd be quite a waste of money I'd think, because they allready have separate releases for all the games except SMB and SMB2j/Lost Levels, and with extras to boot. Metroid was released on the GBA separately most likely for collectors of the Classic NES Series(Why not include another classic) and people who don't want to polay through one game to get another. The most I expect is possibly SMAS as a downloadable for Revolution, with no changes, or the ability to play the NES games with the SMAS or even higher graphics, neither with extras that would keep people from wanting to get the GBA versions. Also, what about people who got all the SMA series, they'd have wasted their money, or they'd have to spend even more for a game that's mostly made up of what they allready have.

Hell, we need "Metroid All-Stars and Legend of Zelda All-Stars"

Edit by Kyouji: There's a GC promo disk that's essentially Legend of Zelda All-Stars.

I have that, it's sweet. Zelda, Zelda 2, LTTP, OoT, MM and a WW demo all rolled into one. MM is glitchy though. (And where's LA?)

If they were to re-release SMAS, it'd have to be on the DS with LOADS of new stuff and a lot of old games (Super Mario Kart and/or Mario Kart 64, Dr Mario, and so on).

Also, in Zero Mission you have to unlock the original Metroid. Plus maybe these people didn't want Zero Mission, just Metroid.

wh... wh... what??? LTTP??? The one i got only had 1, 2, oot and mm!! Apparently they didn't release LTTP on the one i had because LTTP just came out on the GBA. shit man, stupid UK versions... To answer the question, not exactly. First off, SMA5 will be SMRPG. i read that in a magazine. Second, not ALL of SMAS should be released. I think they should release SMB1/TLL on the GBA, with enough extras to keep it nearly as good as SMA4. I think this because the GBC version was a pile of shit. The screen was just TOO GOD DAMN SMALL!!! and obviously the NES GFX sucked ass too. i'd like to see a new, advance version with SMAS GFX, upgraded music quality, extra power ups, and ALL of the levels from both games. I doubt too many people agree with me here though.

Actually, I think SMB1 IS on GBA as part of the NES Classics Series. That would just leave The Lost Levels as not being released, right?

HH: Metroid was also $9 as opposed to $27 for Zero Mission.

Super Mario All-Stars would be great for GameBoy Advance, but would render the other games in the Super Mario Advance series useless. I'd still buy it, though!

Wait wait wait...

They need to remake all the old Mario games in 3D for Gamecube, and call THAT All-Stars.

That would be awesome, HyperHacker. I'd definately buy that.

If they did make SMAS for GBA, they should have it with NES graphics and call it "Super Mario Classics" or something...

The Lost Levels, aka Super Mario Bros. 2 (J) was released in the third installment of the Famicom Mini series (I own a copy), and yes, it is a Famicom Disk System Game. And hard as hell.

No, I mean like Super Mario Bros in full 3D, like Mario 64.
