Oh, here's how it goes. My kitten's name Sophie, I haven't seen her in 5 hours. I've been looking for her around the house but no luck. Just recently, I heard a noice that sounded like a cat in pain from outside but I don't know if it's was her. I think she might of got outside somehow but I don't think I ever left the house for some reason. I wonder if it was a dog that killed her, I hope not, Sophie is my favorite kitten. She only a year old.

Well, what are you waiting for?

Instead of posting here, search for it!

You might find your kitten quicker than by posting on this board

YES!

FIND THE CAT.

My cats used to come running if I tapped a tin can with a spoon (dinner), does yours do the same (or similar) ? Get going, start tapping the hell out of a can!

Yay, I found her. I hate it when they hide deep under the bed, the last place I ever look for something because of all the stuff under there. I'm holding her right now and she now has clicked on Submit Reply. I'm so glad I found her!

Now I've found a good reason why she probably hid under the bed, she hates taking baths which my mom does to my kittens because of flea problems. She'll never get used to the water.

Eh all of my cats hate the water so they never got used to it. I don't think they like it. I never had a cat that liked it

5 hours of searching and you never thought to look under the bed? Dude.
Well anyway, glad you found her. That's where my cat always used to hide.

Fabio, I also have a cat, but it lives outside for most of the day. Cats have natural insticts. Even if you cat did get ouside, it knows not to run away...unless it is being mistreated. But other than that I would probably stay around the house until you let it back in.

That's what I was worried about, if it has insticts. My kitten has never lef tthe house ever since she was born because my parents wanted to have a housecat that stays indoors all the time. I worry that she might get lost and not find her way home if she somehow escaped because it would have been her first time outside.

Still, it is born with instincts. All animals are. That is how they survive. You really shouldn't worry like that. It was only 5 hours. My cats have gone for days and always come back. We worried the first time, but they always come back. The need you for food. xD

Eh once my fat old cat got outside and wouldn't move from inside the shed and he's a housecat. It's like when you open the doors to outside sometimes they run inside the house but when my cat ran outside we didn't know where to look until we heard him meowing like he was stuck somewhere.

Cats look after themselves. I don't even feed mine water. It won't touch it because it finds it's own. Goodness knows what she's drinking, but it's kept her alive for a decade now

It's not uncommon for my cat to go missing for a whole day. She gets into loads of fights, but she's the eldest down our road, so she never comes back hurt. There are usually loads of fights down our road, you can hear cats moaning and screaming at each other every other night. Suburbia thinks it's more and more cool to get more and more cats.

Since we're telling stories of cats running away, here's the ones I remember from our cats. Now, we have two cats at home, both which have given my sister a couple good scares. First off, their names are Tabby and Smokey.

Back when we just got them, my Mom and sister took them outside at least once a day, and kept a close watch on them. A few days into that, Naomi (my sister) decided to bring the camera outside to take some pictures of them. I was inside when it happened, but an hour or so after they were taken outside, Naomi came into the house crying about Tabby going under the fence into our neighbor's yard. I somehow got chosen to climb over the fence, and find the cat in amongst a bunch of bushes and trees We still have a picture somewhere that shows Tabby poking her head through the hole in the fence. You can see part of the camera strap in the picture as well Needless to say, that was the last time they were taken outside without being in the carrier.

Don't be fooled into thinking that Smokey's a little angel that wouldn't do anything wrong though. It hasn't happened in a while now, but she used to have a tendency to go to sleep under one of the chairs in our living room. That chair was in front of the TV, so whenever someone wanted to play a Gamecube game, or watch TV, we had to lift up the chair, check for a cat, and put it back down. As of late though, she's been going into the back of the same chair (the staples have fallen out of one of the sides). I'll just say that it's alot harder to get her out of there than it was to get her out from underneath the thing

Two more to go

Naomi's had a friend of hers over at our house for a while now, due to problems at home, and they've taken to sitting on the porch into late hours of the night. They go back and forth through the front door an awful lot though, and she's been putting off getting the cats into their room, feeding them, and cleaning out their litter boxes. One night a while back, neither of them (the cats) were to be found anywhere, so Naomi started getting hysterical about how Tabby must've gotten outside. Turns out she was sleeping upstairs in my Mom's room, along with Smokey.

Once again, a while back, my Dad was still in the middle of renovating our bathroom. There was a hole in the floor, from which you could see the ceiling of the dining room, as it's right below. One morning, someone forgot to cover the hole up. Naomi came downstairs asking me if I'd seen her cat, and I told her no, but then we heard scratching and meowing coming from the ceiling. We couldn't get to her from the hole in the bathroom, so I had to drag the shelf of encyclopedias that are in the dining room out from the wall a bit, stand on it, shove one of the ceiling tiles away, then try to find Tabby. I won't go into details, but when she finally came down, she was hissing and scratching like there was no tomorrow. There's still a couple kitty treats in the ceiling that I used to lure her towards me

It's good to know you found your cat though, fabio. Now you'll know where to look first next time she goes missing

I still put my cat on my shoulder every now and then. She's an adult but appears to be a baby.

My relative never see's her cats, unless they're eating and drinking.
Her freakin' dog scares them to death.
She doesn't worry about them too much, though.
