This game is set to release in Japan on August 4, 2005. I have not heard or read anywhere whether this game will be out here in the US. But here's the official site (in Japanese though) of the game: Grandia 3

Click on the Japanese text in the middle of the screen to enter the site. When inside, click on the treasure chest in the menu on the bottom left corner there (called "Special") to see a 3 minute, 8 seconds trailer of the game. Screenshots are amazing here -- and it looks like it's going to be quite an improvement over 2 and Xtreme.

I might get it. I really enjoyed the gameplay in Grandia 2, but the storyline was horrid (and the sound and music was pretty annoying too).

This one looks pretty promising though.

And did Square Enix get the rights to this series or something? I don't think they published the other ones.

Yea I knew SE got a hold of the game...but at least it looks like they kept the old IP system intact. It's still made by Game Arts, too, so that's the main thing.

I just hope that because Square-Enix got a hold of it that the game is a bit better than the last. Not that I didn't mind 2, far from it, but you have to admit that the port to the PS2 was far from perfect. The game, however, was pretty much flawless minus the graphics issues.
