I was looking through the old board, and since Dani's no longer here, I thought I'd make my own version of her Dani points. So this is the first thread with my NS points. Let's see...

Question #1:
Whoever makes it, tells it not.
Whoever takes it, knows it not.
And whoever knows it wants it not.
What is it?

Question #2:
Think of words ending in -GRY. Angry and hungry are two of them. There are only three words in the English language. What is the third word? The word is something that everyone uses every day. If you have listened carefully, I have already told you what it is.

Question #3:
My name denotes wealth & beauty, glamorous am I.
Desired by many, owned by some, I will certainly catch your eye.
I come in many shapes & sizes, a bountiful selection.
Bigger isn't always better in this particular collection.
My value is judged by a single letter, rating me in four different ways.
I am the bearer of good news on certain happy days.
But if handled carelessly, I will leave a scar.
And if you test me, you will see your reflection I can mar.
What am I?

Question #4:
I have two US coins totaling 55 cents. One is not a nickel. What are the coins?

Question #5:
If I go halfway to town at the speed of 30 mph, how fast do I have to go the rest of the way to have an average speed of 60 mph over the whole trip?

Question #6:
There is a basket with 5 apples in it. Each one of the children is given an apple, but there is still one apple left in the basket. How is this possible?

Question #7:
In the country Tom lives in slavery is illegal, but it is not illegal for Tom to be owned by someone. How is this possible?

Question #8:
Complete this series of words.
Nom., Utes, Dew, Ruths, ?

Question #9:
If your friend flips a coin 50 times and every single time it lands heads up, what should you call for the next flip? Heads or tails?

Question #10:
Assume that penguins live with a density of 1,000 penguins per square mile and can run at an average speed of 7 miles per hour on land and swim at 20 miles per hour. Also assume that a polar bear has a territory of 10 square miles, can run at 25 miles per hour and swim at 10 miles per hour.

How many penguins will an average polar bear eat in any given month, remembering that a polar bear could, as a maximum, only eat one penguin per hour and 7% of the land is next to the sea.

#3: A Diamond?

#7: Tom is his parents child.

(I'm confused by #2. I have heard it before, but it doesn't make sense. Could someone explain that one please).

1: counterfeit money

5: It's impossible, you'd have to travel the rest of the way to town instantly.

6: Assuming there are 5 children, then 4 of them got apples out of the basket, and the other one was given the basket with the remaining apple in it.

8: Irf

9: It should still be a fifty-fifty chance either way unless the coin is rigged, so I'm saying that it still doesn't make a difference which one you choose - you'd still have the same odds.

10: Polar bears live in the northern hemisphere, and penguins don't live in the northern hemisphere, so i'm saying zero.

Apophis: You got #2, 4, 7, & 9 correct. I worded #6 incorrectly, sorry.

Keikonium: #3 is right.

Reshaper256: #1, 5, 6, and 10 are right. You're close on #8, but "irf" isn't a word. Nice job on getting #6 despite my mistake.

That leaves only #8.
